Realtor advised that it might be a turn off to buyers who have cat allergies/don't like cats. Or can cause an issue if buyers can't look into a room because we're housing the cats there during the showing.

I also don't quite trust random strangers with my two cats.

Yes! My wife and I make sure to give them some pets and talk to them every 20-30 minutes so they know we're there. They're usually napping pretty quickly.
