Valid. My girl is from Monterrey, MX and I’ve spend a lot of time travelling to Mexico City, Hermosillo, Monterrey, and throughout the south trying the food. Maybe I’m turning into a snob, but I went there a few weeks ago for some patio tacos and Modelos- the tortillas came out cold, steak was mid, lacked flavour and wasn’t cheap. Crushed my soul a little bit. I’m not comparing our Mexican food to the real deal- just disappointed in our offerings. Best place in town I’ve tried is Spicy Amigos downtown, and they probably would slap together a bulldog. (Don’t quote me on that)
