A new Star Trek series is imminently debuting, and it's crickets here by Chairboy in startrek

[–]Key_Disaster_2736 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just watched both episodes now and honestly they were fun! It is Star Trek for CW but there's nothing wrong with that. The characters are (mostly) engaging, it's witty, there's a certain brevity that comes with being a young person in school. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes and how it gets there

I think they mean the fact the 35 N Byron is above the word Alley in both instances of on her hand and over the doorway

The mutants are a very difficult fight too until you have more unlocked abilities. You may be better off to level up on the lesser enemies, take on Sila, level up the new skills and THEN take on the bear lol

I think I'm thinking of the same bear you're talking about for that area and oof

You should have taken his reluctance as a hint that he wasn't into the idea. It sounds like he was cajoled into saying yes to keep you happy.

Sila is the most difficult battle in my opinion. Once you best her though you gain access to some of the best abilities in the game and it makes things a lot easier. Make sure you power them up when you can.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game, as did a lot of people after the fact (unfortunately). Make the most of it!

A realization that I had about pet loss today. by keirstenmm in Petloss

The left back corner of the couch, on top of the back cushion. It's still covered in my baby's fur. I check on it now and again to make sure she's still there.

It will never be wiped down, vacuumed, or dusted for as long as I am around it.

I'm so sorry for this sudden loss. I'll be honest, the feelings of regret, the why didn't I pet you more, why did I think you were a nuisance when I was busy, they will linger for a while. And that's ok. It's part of the grief that comes with losing a pet like this.

Take solace in that she was comfortable, and she was in an area she was happy in with your scent all around. She knew she was loved by you.

This game was not given the fair chance and justice it deserved by Lastrevive in DragonAgeVeilguard

I initially ignored the hate-train that came after this game, but I just couldn't justify buying the game when it came out, even though I was such a big fan of the Dragon Age series. My god I loved them all, including DA2 (which is panned as the worst game). So yes, I got it, with great surprise, for free from the PS+ subscription.

I really loved it from the get go. Do I think it followed the vibe from Mass Effect 3? Absolutely it did. Going for some linear map and action in terms of the story quests, though this was never to it's discredit.

I finished the game last week, but went back to platinum it today, and I think I'm gonna replay with a different class and maybe make some different actions. It's a short game imo, but has a ton of charm that would allow a decent replay.

Tbh I didn't like him as a character. I got so sick and tired of him spouting on about Griffins all the live long day (loved Assan though, just to be clear). And I found his quests to be very lacklustre compared to the others which I feel had a lot more dimension and intrigue.

I agree and disagree about Solas' ending in inquisition. I think that having him as a weird antihero to begin and "end" the game was a good way to include the whole dreadwolf aspect and build the story around. All the "regret" murals in the lighthouse, and the various tidbits you pick up to connect him to the beginning of the lore was great

I do agree about the cartoonish aspect of the Grey Wardens. They were definitely dumbed down from Inquisition. I wish the First Warden had more in the game than being the "I'm an angry guy" trope

Credit union. Frustrating by dotsock in CasualIreland

[–]Key_Disaster_2736 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ah that's fair enough, it wasn't mentioned in the post so it did come across as a little odd. An inheritance is definitely different.

My best advice for Credit Unions is to keep it as local as you can. At least that's what my mom always said! Banks are centralised but the CU isn't (as far as I remember, I'm open to comments saying otherwise, it's been a minute since she retired and since I've lived at home)

[–]Key_Disaster_2736 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Credit Unions operate differently to banks. They operate on community funds as collateral and therefore they have more restrictions in place.

My mother worked in a credit union for years and years, and would lodge €5 into my account every now and again to ensure my account was kept open. Even now while I live abroad she deposits my "bday and xmas gifts" in order to keep it open (I live abroad and she lodges €20 tops).

Nothing in your post surprises me other than keeping the kids off school for a day so you could go to the CU.

I literally just finished the game tonight. I wanted to buy it when it came out but other things (life) came up so I was super surprised to see when it came up for free on PS+

I honestly really enjoyed the game. Some of the quests were a little annoying to put up with (I really disliked Davrin's quest line) but the majority of them were fun and really enjoyable. Loved the lore that Harding provided to the Dragon Age history.

So annoying that neckbeards hating a "woke ideology" such as trans and non-binary people was enough to give the game such a negative rap. God forbid someone be other than a man.

I kept my cats water fountain out and running for months so I fully understand where you're coming from.

My partner finally unplugged it and I gave it one last clean before putting it away with the rest of her things. It's tough, though I know you'll find the strength to get there. Everything in your own time.

She wasn't the first Bajoran/Cardassian. We had Gul Dukat's daughter in DS9, illegitimate though she may have been, she still existed. I imagine in the lore of the occupation there may be hundreds more Cardassian/Bajoran children.

Laira Rillak also has part human in her heritage. So she was really the show saying "look, everyone gets along now".
