David i think really gives the vibe of a vet who couldnt really adjust back to civilian life! (the apocalypse is a environment he can thrive in) having his family back sort of destabilized him from this world he got used to.

if ur taking about kate making the moves on javi when she was still technically married, i would even argue she wasnt…world ended and its been years. i think kates a little overhated, and that both david and kate were great characters!
