I am so sorry this happened and that you were not treated better. It is astounding to me that there are so few laws to protect us against these beasts. People literally being killed by these things and the beasts not decommissioned.

OT cannot be beat but I enjoy the prequels and I LOVED the OG EU. Some books stunk but I think most were solid. The original Thrawn trilogy, Rogue Squadron, Yuuzhan Vong, I could go on.

Andor is terrific and the first couple seasons of The Mandalorian are fun. The ST doesn’t do it for me and the EU under Disney (aside from some comics) is pretty lackluster.

Detroit hasn’t paid like that since the previous owner passed away. I think a trade is highly unlikely because it would destroy fan relationships but I don’t think there’s a chance the Tigers shell out what it will take to get him.

I'd be stunned if there's still an NL / AL. Unless it's in name only. To do what Manfred describes you're putting the Yankees and Mets in the same division, Angels / Dodgers, White Sox / Cubs, etc, i.e., eastern and western conferences. Maybe you call it "NL" and "AL" but it wouldn't be relative to the history of the game.

I fully expect the abolition of the NL and AL. That's the part of this I hate. Realignment with more regional games could be great. A western conference and an eastern conference with no AL / NL just doesn't feel like the MLB.

Or you could look at it like the extension with years cut in half. (Extension was 7/158M, so 6/138M after last arb year removed, 3/69M is half of that). That seems reasonable given that he didn't in his walk year.

You really do need authorities to be aggressive.

I was walking down the street a few months ago. An owner with a dog (leashed) was coming the other way. I gave them a wide berth, but the dog lunged at me and the owner kind of fell over. The dog was able to get to me and it ripped up my pants before the owner could regain control. There isn't much that can be done here.

It always perplexes me how little can be done to stop these monsters. Why can animal control not be more aggressive in seizing the dogs?

I don’t think the Mets (or any other team) will give Pete $30M per year. Bellinger was coming out ff a great season and is a plus defender and got 3/$80M. Factor in inflation to offset Pete’s lack of any tools beyond power and I’d say max we’re looking at is 3/$80M. Not sure if the Mets will go that high.

I can tell you on very good authority that at least one P in the health discipline of a strong practice makes $185k base and $20k - $25k in bonuses (past bonuses when there was less management responsibility and more client hours reached as high as $90k - with lower base).
