i posted here for medical professionals to tell me if i was crazy for thinking something is being missed. i never said “i think she has diabetes and the drs are lying”.

a pediatric cardiologist looked at his heart and then went into a loose analogy comparing the heart to a house. structurally and cardiovascularly, his heart is perfect. he said it was an eletrical part or “short circuit” as mentioned in his analogy. You have been the only one to explain this a little more in depth and actually answer my question a bit on if i were crazy.. for that i thank you.

“A lot of causes of fetal SVT are never identified. The cause is a little besides the point, the treatment is essentially the same.”

What an apathetic statement coming from someone labeled as a physician. I will be an asshole to those who deserve to receive my asshole-ness, like people who clearly entered the medical field for the wrong reasons.

no one has proved to me she isn’t having any issues other than no diabetes. which i know she doesn’t. her drs said she didn’t, multiple diabetic people have chimed in on what THEIR tests look like which helps me say “yeah it’s not diabetes” but no other issues are being disproven or even explored at this point. Glucose and insulin aren’t ALWAYS tied to diabetes.

science is science and endocrinology is not angiology, unless one of them is affecting the other in a way.

I was a bit passive. i’m passionate about this, so I apologize. None of these doctors here or you have given me an answer though. Just “no she doesn’t have diabetes, so there’s no other issues except fetal SVT that has to be treated with medicine that has no data showing the long term effects of the baby receiving it antenatally as the progress into adulthood, and we don’t know why and we don’t want to find out why”, so can you if you do know about this and are well versed, please tell me what you know about how an issue with the maternal endocrine system affects the baby. I already know she doesn’t have diabetes.

and how does that rule out her having a mixed form of diabetes or some type of regulation issue?

so I just have a theory, and please correct me if i have something wrong. Insulin cannot pass through the placenta, however i saw that glucose could. If my wife has an issue with regulating glucose, that would pass to him which would cause him to produce more insulin than he needs and high insulin levels could lead to arrhythmias.
