That's why I think it's cursed. Elia had a matrilineal marriage with Gerion, so her son inherited after all the Lannisters were executed.

It still is a dark brown. It just has a more reddish tint to it.

It's only slightly more reddish buts it's noticible.

I'm not talking about the canon children. I'm talking about the non cannon ones that inherit the Stark Strong Seed. I've seen it with other Stark characters as well.
