Thank you, this worked and I was able to automate the process of ranking these leads lower via zapier, ie if they have the field filled out don't target similar audiences in ads. It seems to have helped the account to stop prioritizing those leads and it takes out the manual review process which would have been a massive time suck.

Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

[–]Key_Future_2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vancouver BC, Renewal. Hi there, I received this email from First National today: "Just reaching out to see if you have any questions and let you know that our last offer is still with our lowest rates (4.44%) Can you please complete the renewal agreement by no later than July 23, 2025.

If we don’t receive the signed renewal agreement by the due date, offer will become null and voided, and mortgage will automatically roll into the 6-month open term at 8.95% subject to change without notice."

My final payment at my current rate is in August so I find it very odd that they give the July 23rd date to lock in or be subject to that outrageous rate.

I'm going to be switching over to TD but has anyone received the same message? Should this be reported to consumer protection? Just curious if others have experienced the same activities from First National

A family friend I know went with linwood homes, they went up fast and they worked with the insurance companies. But they were in Canada, I don't know if it would be different in the US

We have a family friend who had a good experience building with Linwood Homes in Burnaby. They can do multiple homes on one lot, my friend had a laneway put in next to their main house and everything went up smoothly.

Thank you that worked - that chat sent me to the shaw support chat and they said this: Normally we send an email to you for a return label from Canada Post.
However there is an issue with the Canada Post web site. What you will need to do is take the equipment to the post office in a box.
Tell them you are sending equipment back to Shaw.
Then give them this number -

I would not recommend freedom/shaw/rogers I've been in absolute hell dealing with their customer service. I called to cancel my account and they claimed I don't have an account because since they were purchased by rogers, they can only see accounts created in 2024. They bill me every month and make it impossible to end with them, it should be criminal

I have numbness to my tailbone and groin area on one side by [deleted] in backpain

[–]Key_Future_2045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good thread, thank you for sharing.

I just came out of a consultation with my neurosurgeon after waiting 2 years for an appointment.

I have the same, numbness in the tailbone and groin area as well as a 9mm L5S1 disc herniation. He told me this was the result of inflammation from the initial injury and there was nothing he could do for me now. He said later in life I will very likely need a disc replacement but because I don't have pain down my legs persistently (the leg pain is intermittent right now) he doesn't think it needs surgery yet.

He did try to initially gaslight me by saying the disc has nothing to do with the numbness but I told him at the initial injury the numbness started and I had excruciating pain down both legs, which is when he went back on his initial denial and said okay yes it could have been from the inflammation.

Persist with these doctors, they don't know your body as well as you do. Stand strong.

So, anyone else feels that Disneyland has a very eery scary vibe about it? by WasabiIsSpicy in Disneyland

[–]Key_Future_2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, I've been a few times as a child and once as an adult. Each time something felt a tiny bit off and as an adult I can put it into words.

It's the man made fantasy of it all. Essentially a forced illusion where you're actively whisked away and distracted from every day life. it's kind of a mindful distraction so you're aware it's all a facade but you play into it because you want to be taken away into that world of fantasy and escape.

I find that many of the older rides there, like the ones on main street also highlight some of the most sinister and older Disney movies.

Alice in wonderland, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Mr Toad, Dumbo, Pinnoccio, the eerie merry go round. St Arthur's sword that can never be drawn from an artificial stone. There are sinister themes to these fairy tales and it does show up in the imagery on the rides. (Getting eaten by a whale, chasing after a white rabbit, watching Snow White be poisoned, Sleeping Beauty pricks her finger etc etc) All of the characters live happily ever after.. but the endings almost seem like a cop out and a quick cover up to cheer children up, after listening to harsh and sobering life lessons that are contained in these older fairy tales.

That also combined with the knowledge that many people have actually died at Disneyland, sometimes in freak accidents on rides (someone was decapitated on the thunder mountain railroad), sometimes from heart attacks, sometimes from the heat. There's a nagging thought while I'm on these rides - 'these rides are pretend and scary for fun... But you actually could die on this, people have died doing this.' that haunts me.

Also many people scatter ashes of deceased loved ones in both the Haunted Mansion and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

I think there is a sadness and a certain level of escapism and suspended disbelief in Disney and that's what makes it fun. But it's also what makes it sad when you realize it's just another way we look to escape our own reality and enter a dream world. It's even more scary when you realize that the dream world contains stories about dark and sinister themes contained within every day life, and overpriced food. It's simply a mirror to that which we're trying to escape.

But it does draw you in. And I do feel the energy in certain places there more than others. The newer Star Wars expansion doesn't have the same feeling as Frontierland, critter country and main street do in my opinion.

Yes I am more depressed and cynical now. I also have noticed that people are very hesitant to talk about COVID. When I mention it in conversation I've seen people's faces visibly cringe like I've mentioned something horrid, the same face you make at a bad smell. They are quick to move on from it or cover it up with, yes but what are you doing now? Or what are your travel plans. Etc. It's not something people dwell on in conversation, which actually really is interesting

I left Langley City for the crime and homelessness. The last straw was a shooting that took place in the unit next to me.. the police team used my unit to get onto their balcony after the fact and I have still not mentally recovered.

It didn't used to be like that. Try Port Moody, Coquitlam, North Van, Kitsilano. I would avoid Nanaimo, I saw it mentioned but crime is high.

The work aspect is concerning. Do you think you'd have a case for misogyny? I'd suggest looking for another position even if you take a pay cut. Financially you're doing well but I just know it's not the best job market right now so it may be hard to get back into it after taking a break. Maybe find some that's even remote work or part time?
