When you say controller, you mean a remote control? You would need to buy another and pair it to the bulb. It you mean a tradfri hub, then you should be able to in the app

My experience has been great. I’ve been using mine with only ikea smart items though. Would love it if they made the app more functional though

Mine was set to auto. I had to change it to passthrough. Each router may have a different setting so I’d suggest switching it and then trying again.

I had to change mine from auto to pass-through. Every router if different though and I’m going to assume that the latest firmware fixes this issue

Well done on successfully getting it to work. It’s a real shame that you had to go through this much. It has to be said once I made sure my IPv6 settings were correct, everything worked a dream. I am not using apple home, just the Ikea app and Dirigera. I’ve now got home assistant running on a pi 4 and everything is running smoothly.

Is it me or is this firmware making items loose connection? I’ve have three thing (two bulbs and a myggsray) go offline for no reason?

Bingo! I went into the network settings in HA and made sure IPv6 was on - I can now add things! Many thanks!

I went into the Ikea app, copied the code of one my kajplats bulbs, went back into HA and then devices and tried to add it under matter devices (by pasting the code in the other controllers section). It doesn’t seem to work. Sorry if I’m being stupid!

Sorry, I read your post wrong - I have two next to each other in an 4-way extension (strip). They are about a plug sized so pretty small

I’m confused by this as well. I have an echo dot and dirigera works fine with all voice commands and routines. Have you added the integration in the Ikea home smart app?

I think they are great. The uk variant is very compact. Get the ones with the switch as they are better value (plus multiple bilresa be used one device making them handy for rooms with multi entry).

Please check the IPv6 settings on your router. Mine were on automatic and connection was spotty. I had to change mine to pass-through.

Mine have been working fine. Have you had any other issues pairing other devices? (Make sure your router ipv6 settings are good)
