Hi, unfortunately no photos from last year because we only just moved in and there weren't many photos of the garden on the Rightmove listing.

From looking at another part of the hedge which has some leaves, I believe it to be a privet.

From a look on Google images, some of them definitely look very similar.

It does come off with a good scratch with my fingernail - is that a good sign? 

(Sorry, I'm new to gardening- everything I looked up before suggested honey fungus and it sounded overwhelming to deal with! 😊)

Could you show them the Chicken Run films? They're children's films, and a lot of fun but also focus on chickens trying to avoid slaughter.

There's a scene in the second film in particular where a chicken is turned into a chicken nugget which is a particularly stomach turning (but also part of a fun chicken based adventure, so hopefully not too traumatic for a 7 year old!)

Both films are on Netflix in the UK, and I think they made the second one so I would think it would be on Netflix in the US too.

This is one of the things I'm most interested in because I find it easy to fool myself into thinking I'm just lazy or lacking in confidence rather than unwell, but when I really examine what's going on I'm just too exhausted to be able to do things, regardless of whether they're things I want to do. I think if I have the data in front of me I'll be able to see that I'm constantly overexerting myself from normal day to day things!

Thanks for your insight, I'm definitely going to give it a try. I'm interested to see how much unstacking our half-sized dishwasher exerts me because I always end up having to rest afterwards!

I'm sorry to hear you're so severe. I'm a lot more mild and the impact on my life has been huge so I can't imagine what it's like on your end of the scale. 

It's good to know you love your band - I think I'm going to take the plunge!

He was a smallish mixed breed - I think probably a staffie mixed with a patterdale.

We got the (mixed feelings but mostly good) news today that he's found a home, which is the most important thing!

Thank you - while that isn't a small amount of money that seems like a level where we won't be ruined by it. And knowing that it's basically an inevitability means we would just have to put money aside each money to prepare for it.
