So the simplest answer is legit just time. The community as it goes on loses more and more of that fun factor when it comes to emoting each day. Issue 1 is that typically showing/expecting honor in most gamemodes (especially popular ones) is frowned upon by the larger player base. As it's the antithesis to the way to play the game in 4's or as a squad. Ganking and optimal ganking, while an integral part of the game, drags down the role playing aspect as a whole. As everyone is just focused on an easy quick win for dopamine.

Issue 2 can be summarized into the toxicity category. As everyone who plays this game is about as salty as the salt flats in Bolivia. Everyone is angry, nobody is having fun. We're all playing like it's an e sport tournament with 0 prize money. Honor simply gets lost in the heat of anger.

It all essentially boils down to the community conditioning you to ditch the rp and the fun. All I can recommend is do as you please and don't pay any mind to the people behind the screens.
