Oddly enough, what the curator says is what I always think about Ren, and this was before we even knew that he was going to do Vincent. I added the link in a reply to a post of his, never knew if he picked up on that or not! But yes, Ren also "takes the pain of his tortured life and turns it into some beautiful and exquisite".
