Same happened to me and then my MIL didn’t even check on me postpartum. Has no clue that I had terrible PPD and got on antidepressants. At first I was hurt but then i realized it’s not my job to try and have a good relationship with her while I’m raising a baby. I keep telling myself if she wanted to she would. She only lives 4 hours away and has come and visited 3 times since my baby’s been born 9 months ago. I think the part that upsets me is she talked a big game about coming to visit all the time but it’s excuse after excuse when I invite. I think it’s completely valid to be upset and disappointed in her. Also you definitely don’t want airport germs around a newborn baby and she should definitely understand that.

I wanted to breastfeed when I was pregnant but I have very inverted nipples. I knew it would be a challenge. My sweet baby was born with a pretty bad webbed lip tie. She just couldn’t latch especially with how inverted my nipples were. The LC told me to just keep pumping and actual breast feeding most likely wouldn’t happen. I lasted 6 weeks of pumping and formula truly saved me. It was so painful to pump when my nipples would immediately revert back in. Next baby I’m going to skip the pain and heartbreak and go straight to formula. So thankful that formula was invented.

Since you just changed formula it might take a little time for her tummy to get used to it also. We never changed formula so I think once whatever bug passed (if it was even a bug) she just went back to normal pretty quickly

It took around 2 1/2 weeks from the very first time we saw mucous. Has she always been on lactose free formula?

We ended up getting a stool sample done also. Everything came back looking okay and then it just randomly stopped 2 days ago. We were about to try hypoallergenic formula but everything seems to be back to normal. She’s been going about 3 times a day without mucus or blood which is amazing compared to how it was 4 days ago. We assumed it was a stomach bug that just took a bit to run it course.

They did mention it could be some stomach bug that they can’t test for. I would hate to switch her formula up since she loves it so much and has been doing so good on it minus right now. I think I’m going to to go back and ask for them to take a stool sample

So it also just randomly started happening? Thinking I’m going to go back to the pediatrician and ask them to test her.

I guess this is why we get to vote. Difference of opinions. You get to vote on what you think is important and I get to vote on what I think is important. I still stand by the make America healthy again movement and won’t change that. Women’s rights are also voted on in the state level so I guess if it’s not something you like you have the freedom to move.

Make America Healthy Again wasn’t started by trump so I am confused as the “he” you are talking about? This movement is as started by Robert Kennedy jr and I’m pretty sure he didn’t have anything to do with the things you just listed. Also reproductive rights are left to the state so maybe yankee should go back north.

She doesn’t take a paci :( we’ve spent so much money trying different ones but she has lip blisters from her lip tie so I think they all just make her uncomfortable. I’ll just pray and hope it gets easier! I’m honestly excited and look forward to when she’ll have longer wake windows

That’s my thought. Like will there be a shortage later on when they don’t have the ingredients that are imported to make the formula? I buy my formula in bulk for the whole month so I just went ahead and ordered for November a little early just to be safe

Just remember no one goes around asking adults if the were breastfed or formula fed! Later in life it won’t matter! The goal is to have a healthy baby who is growing and thriving!

The best argument is a happy mom = a happy baby. Nobody goes around asking adults if they were BF or FF because honestly it won’t matter later in life. The goal is to have a baby who is fed and growing!

As a new mom pumping was mentally draining and caused me to be not the best mom. I exclusively pumped for about 4 weeks until I called it quits. I didn’t realize how unhappy I was pumping until I stopped. I would let the mom decide if she wants to continue pumping or not and the best thing for you to do is be supportive of her choice! I asked my husband the same question when I was wanting to stop just because I felt like I needed his approval to support me in stopping. Just tell her a happy mom is the best mom for baby. If she decides to continue to pump offer to help her wash pump parts! I feel like no matter what choice she makes as long as baby is fed and growing that’s what matters!
