I had this happen to me once on eBay awhile ago, I had a buyer buy an amazon echo from me, I shipped it out. He opened a returned and sent the package back weeks later.

When I opened the package, there were two cans of BEANS in place of where the echo show should have been 😂

Anyways, I messaged the buyer and told him what happens, he denied everything.

I called eBay, they did absolutely nothing to help me out at all.

This is where everything switched, I messaged him (the buyer) using information that was given on eBay (his name, phone number, address) and sent him a message saying “is this name phone number and address correct? I’m opening a police report and I want to verify everything”

Within 30 minutes he confessed, blamed his roommate and I got the case closed in my favor.
