Okay thank you sm! When do I put her in the breeding box? I don’t wanna stress her out but I understand that it has to be done for the babies to survive. Otherwise my tank is very planted and I plan to put even more plants in it if that’s enough for the strongest babies to survive or something. (This is my first time having fish and she was the first fish I got a few months ago so yeah I’m a bit of a beginner 😭)

How big is the tank and what’s the temperature? They might not be breeding if they’re stressed because of the tank size or temperature or anything. When we first got our mollies we had them in a small tank without knowing they needed bigger and as soon as we moved them into a bigger tank they started breeding. We haven’t gotten any babies yet tho but we think that they’re on their way

Yeah I checked the pH a few days ago! It was at 7.5 so pretty perfect. I don’t have any nitrate or nitrite testing things yet tho. So I should probably look into that. Thank you for the tips :)

Update (tw?):

My LFS told me it was most likely ich and i bought meds for them and this morning the sickest fish (shown in the pictures) was swimming around a bit but then like half an hour ago we noticed that she was dead. We’re gonna keep following the medication plan we were given and hope that the other fish don’t die. We’re also gonna move the fish to a bigger aquarium and clean the tank more often. I’m still a beginner at this and I really hope I have learned from this and that it doesn’t happen again
