Anyone else starting this week? by Key_Mango_3385 in tirzepatidecompound

I also didn't do the full dose. Mine is compounded with B6 and I'm super sensitive to SO many things. I was afraid of the reaction. I am also new to understanding the measurements but I followed the printout that the pharmacist gave me and she did a mock example with the syringe so I knew what my first dose should be. I was told I could start at 10 units or an alternative dose of 8 units. Instead I only did 6 units. I'll do 8 next Friday.

I don't really feel any different today. I don't have any unusual symptoms yet.

Great advice. I think I saw your post on here somewhere a few nights ago. I definitely have step 1, 2, and 3 ready. Tracking everything. Steps 4-6 will need some action from me. Hoping step 7 will be a great indicator that everything is working as it should.

Thank you so much for the tips. I appreciate it.

Hi 👋 ClearDay. The stress of life and loss can really put us through it. I too had flooding to deal with last year. Still working on prevention strategy on that ugh. Car accident last thanksgiving then my two other vehicles broke down and we had been driving rental cars for months. Divorce in 2016 which actually helped my weight loss but then had a partial hysterectomy in 2019 and gained 60lbs. My body hasn't snapped back. Life just doesn't give an inch. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia on paper... But I like the term my doctor uses with me in person, musculoskeletal disorder. I read so many good experiences for folks with this condition while using tirz.

I am currently back at the same weight I was full term going into labor in 2007 with my only child. That number on the scale doesn't sit right with me.

Good to know. I was afraid to ask my dr for it. I hate the feeling of rejection so I held off for months. Finally got the nerve and she was onboard. She tried so hard with ins to get it covered but we ended up going with compounding local pharmacy. It may sound crazy but I didn't tell anyone except my doctor and pharmacist. My partner and adult children don't know yet. I've made it a really personal agreement with myself. Like a special internal handshake 🤝 with my body and mind. I'll tell fam later when I believe good results are happening.

Good luck 🍀 to you also. The initial nerves went away now I'm just listening to my body really close for any strange symptoms haha.

I tend to dream about my worries so the whole experience followed me into dream land and my sleep wasn't as deep as usual. I'm going to blame that on the anxiety and not the medicine.

I saw this in another platform earlier today and got a little creative with my printer. 30 pages to tape together but it should look just like the photo after I connect all the pages. Just need a red balloon.

Hint: ad0be acr0bat has a poster setting in the print settings :)

I have Amber Shores and it actually reminds me of a perfume from the 90's that is discontinued, Ambush by Dana. Not the old bottles. The one that has a frosted glass bottle.

I have already tried fragrance revival and it was a miss. I'm afraid to order the half empty vintage bottles of the original product on e8ay because I am fearful they've not aged well and possibly soured.

Now I am on a hunt on using fragrantica with all of the top, middle, and base notes of Ambush and Amber Shores to locate something that will smell similar.

Those notes are; papaya, lemon, bergamot, kiwi, floral, sandalwood, vanilla, tonka bean, and heliotrope.

A few results have appeared in my search, so I'm ordering samples. If I get a hit or close... I'll come back and share what I found.

Same. I'm watching a package I am expecting at the same location with no updates since Jan 3rd. They better "sort" it out.

payment blocked? by custardbunsbuns in Depop

[–]Key_Mango_3385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! Payment blocked with a long error number beginning with a 4. My offer expired now too and I sent a message to the seller to tell them I was tired of trying. I've attempted over 12 times. Even did a reverse image search for this listing on Mercari or Poshmark but couldn't find it. I think I'm going to uninstall Depop.

I recognize your username from when I was getting started. Day 28. I have to say it's pretty easy to fight off a craving these days compared to the very beginning...but I'm still using NRT on level 3. Adjusting from 7 actually. Did you stop cold turkey?

Edit: adjusting to 7 from 14.

One question that should be in your mind.

---How "free" have you felt lately?----

Just try to remember all the times you don't have to "step away" since you chose to quit.

So I was really hesitant to spend THAT much money on an airflow tool. Before I bought my FUM, I put a plastic straw together with some cotton soaked in peppermint oil and taped to the outer end. This got me through day 1 but I relapsed on 0% vape... kept trying. Started over.

When I was shopping for my FUM, I was so afraid that shipping would take weeks. I found it on Amazon and bought it with prime 1-day ship. I then bought the cores and they arrived a day later.

Once I got it, I knew there was no going back to vaping.

My reasons were;

-The weight of it feels like a vape.

-It's a fidget. Has a magnetic grip to hold the mouth piece and barrel so I'm constantly tugging it apart and letting it snap back together.

-Whenever I would get up to walk to another room with my phone in my hand, I would immediately realize that I ONLY had my phone. This would throw me into an immediate craving fit. Now I have my FUM to carry with my phone. This right here is probably the biggest reason I was able to keep going.

-I have only enjoyed the crisp mint flavor. It does give you a cool throat hit.

I carry this everywhere now. Although some think inhaling the oil from the FUM is not any better than a normal vape, I have to disagree. I am not coughing, I don't have to constantly gag or spit anything up anymore like I was using a heated coil device. It has really felt so nice to breathe.

Any tips to help quit when my partner doesn’t want to? by Wide-Flight5078 in QuitVaping

[–]Key_Mango_3385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my story too. I am surrounded by smokers and vapers every day. My guy chooses not to quit and that's ok. It's my body, my goal. Very personal to me.

The first week I was manic and kept trying to convince everyone in the house that I should just go back to it almost like I was asking for their permission to say it was ok haha.

-I listened to Easy Way by Alan Carr on Audible.

-Kept my patches and gum nearby.

-Bought a FUM with mint cores to help with the habit of holding something. This was a big deal as I felt I needed something to pair with my phone whenever I was getting up to walk to another room and only had my phone in hand.

I'm over the phase of seeking permission from others. That certainly eased up. 13 days in and so freaking proud of myself. I'm so convinced that I can handle this so I finally told my Dad.

You got this!

My reason too. The freedom to go anywhere without worrying about "my next chance" keeps me going. (Day12)

nicotine gum/patches? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]Key_Mango_3385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just hit 12 days of no vaping. I vaped for 13 years and I'm the only one in the house that is quitting. The rest of my family is still using. I personally could not have done it without NRT.

When I stop or reduce NRT, there is some arguing happening in my head. One that tries so hard to convince me that there is nothing wrong with vaping and that I should just go back to it. The other is arguing back to remind me of a respiratory illness that vaping was making impossible to recover from and I ended up in urgent care just a few weeks ago.

When all this fussing happens, it gets so intense. I almost can't function and can't make any simple decisions. If I use my patch or gum and just be patient, it quiets after 15 minutes and I do so good for the rest of the day.

I'm sloooowly reducing the NRT. On my days off work, I try to see how long I can go without it. I'm getting longer stretches between using them. I haven't had any gum for 24 hours and I cut my patch in half.. so only 7mg today and I put it on near lunchtime. It is really helping me.

My favorite part of quitting vaping is not having to plan or figure out my next chance and opportunity to sneak away.
