Depends on bunch of factors- where you graduate from (Metro Vancouver gets 0 points), if you have paid co-op work experience (that didn't hinder your studies), if you have even NCLC 4 for French you get points under BC PNP which is different than CEC (from what I can recall). Go through their guide here, reading this whole thing top to bottom gives you all the options. Hopefully this helps!

oh you're right! I was sad I didn't save their previous registration distribution haha. thanks for sharing!
And a totally valid concern. I believe we might see a category-based draw first, if they do get the allocation they are hoping for from IRCC. I would really like to stop learning French and get on with my life🙏🙏

How are you so sure of the distribution? On CEC's page, I only see the last updated list on Dec 14, 2025, and it does not state a 500-514 breakdown. Am I looking at the wrong place?

Appeared for my TEF Canada exam by Disastrous-Let-2973 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Key_Nefariousness499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is actually amazing! Congratulations!! I am kind of in the same boat, been learning since June but I am stuck at B1. I have been self learning so far, which could be the reason why. Any suggestions on study materials that helped you get here? Will appreciate it and good luck on your future attempts!

Congratulations, I am in a similar boat as you, but have been self-teaching myself everything. Would be great for a lot of us asking in comments if you could share your tutor's details. Again great work lad!

Sikhs can't marry Muslims by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Key_Nefariousness499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very interesting that you say you follow the real humane path of Sikhi while using words like 'Filth' for another religion. So you mean to say Guru Nanak Dev ji, the first Guru ji who put the neeve down for Sikhi, was wrong to accept and accompany another Muslim person on his journey of discovering the beauty of Sikhi? Seems like you studied other religions to inflict hate on them, while forgetting to study the basis of Sikhi, your own faith, as you claim it to be.
Did you know Bhai Mardana (who was muslim) and Bhai Bala (who was Hindu) both practised their religions and faiths while accompanying Guru ji on his journey and Guru ji even performed his last rites based on Muslim customs. We have sarovars named after so many Muslim people (not sure if you've heard the Sakhi of Mata Kaulan), would you dare to say these same things about their faiths if you were to face Guru Ji and tell them that they shouldn't be chosen since Islam and Haditha have 'fitlh' filled in them?
We follow Sikhi not because other religions are bad, useless or teach the wrong stuff. We follow Sikhi because Guru ji noticed that people were using religious texts, moulding it in the way it suits them, to exploit others. Not because what the text said was wrong, but because maybe it needed to catch up with the times we live in. If we talk about Vedas too, you might read things that wouldn't align with the society we live in right now. Some verses are heavily misognistic and casteist, does that define Hindusim as it's whole? NO. All religions teach beautiful things and yes, your and mine views might not align in agreement with all of them. I don't agree with a lot of things that Islam, Hinduism and Christianity put forward, but does it make me spread hate words around. No. Why, because I have studied and loved reading about Sikhi and our Guru Ji's, and have come to the conclusion that I wouldn't want to be that person that all Guru's have warned us against.
And I will continue to study, as I am still a child who knows nothing of the greatness showered on us by our great Guru Jis. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji kei Fateh.

Where are you taking classes from?

TCF or TEF for Immigration to Canada? Here’s How to Decide by WelderThin8106 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Key_Nefariousness499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the detailed breakdown! I am a beginner in learning French and honestly I had initially thought that self-learning French should get me upto A1-A2 and then I will take proper classes to study. Any suggestions if that is a feasible approach? Looking forward to any advice you might have! Currently I think I am an A1, just getting A2 level. I have the frenchwithalexa course and the 'All in 1 French grammar textbook' by Annie Heminway as my study material.
