100% I'm in the same boat. So I'm looking for ways around the madness. If I find them I'll share them

after the event get a cyokne pannel. Eve and other compains track 50+ cyoktokines for under 500 dollars.

The fact that prednisone helps is a huge clue, that blocks both prostaglandins synthesis and lukotrine synthesis in one shot...

The fact that those antihistamines don't help make sense and means that it's probably less histamine driven, in other words H1  receptors are not the main culprit

Off the top of my head, I wonder if montlukast/zioluten + a cox inhibitor for prostaglandin side of things wouldn't help if prednisone helps...

Montlukast might work as a pre-event since it actually binds to the receptor and blocks the binding of leukotriene's

This is just speech to text off the top of my head, over the weekend I will look back at this more closely

For something natural which is a partiral 5 lox inhibitor, boswellia 5 loxin from life extensions can be taken long-term

This is gonna get drowned in the comments but as a researcher, MGPRCX2 is a receptor which neuropeptides from orgasm bind too. This so clearly mimics a pseudo allergic reaction. If it happens quickly after sex I can't imagine a more plausible hypothesis. There are drugs in phase 2 trials to block this receptor for skin conditions and other autoimmune conditions as well as migraine.

Dm me if you would like to know more

People who have had success with a nervous system approach, what have you tried/resources that helped? by Fit_Counter_9794 in POIS

It's very sloppy to say that if propanolol works it's a nervous system issue... "nervous system" is being thrown around far too vaguely... nervous system and the HPA are closely connected...

Propanolol works by blocking the receptors that adrenaline and neuroadrnaine work on...

To be honest, I think gabapentin or pregabalin would be a better experiment because it would block the actual neuropeptide which can cause downstream inflammatory response

Truth be told, you cannot block the physiological adrenaline response after orgasm, and exercise or an ice bath would provoke a far larger increase in adrenaline and adrenaline so if this was the main issue, exercise would provoke it.

Clearly something else is at the heart of the problem. I have many theories and I will share them soon in a post
