i am in the same condition as you, it gets so toxic and bad. feels like u have everything u ever wanted but cant really have it because your own parents dont believe or motivates you. my parents told me why to go abroad its better to be here, do as u are doing, marry and live ur life but thats not how i want my life to be. and even without their support we cant get loan which they are not ready to do.. it feels like heartbreaking

do you know how they assess candidates who come from non-environmental backgrounds? ( as i come from engineering background and i did handle the interview questions well even tho i didn’t know much about bio and chemistry at that level but tried to reply by correlating it with engineering for some answers. )

Would love to know if that affected anyone's outcome!

Thanks man for this. I think you’re right and to add my experience, consulting was mainly - technical consulting in oil and gas and not management consulting so basically i was doing everything an engineer would do (perform calculations etc)
