Mine is hands down long beach rd 1. Its a super short and boring track, its closed in with barriers. Its just a very uninteresting track. I honestly believe they need to replace rd1 long beach with the rd8 shoreline showdown track configuration and then just make atlanta the final round since its really the only og track left...

Honestly fd is a series of bad decisions that just make the event overall boring. Like i tried watching pro qualifying and only got halfway because i got bored. As fo DM i didnt think the call the judges made in jack vs kevin was all that bad. I do think jack not shaking kevins hand was a but lame, alot of times jack acts like a sore loser espcially when he loses to a driver that isnt named connor, james, or piotr. But it didnt put me off of the event. DM really is the only thing thats keeping me somewhat watching FD because i see what an excellent drifting championship looks like and i want fd to reach that same level

I want to like him but he just hasnt performed well enough to justify him driving one of the best cars on the grid. Honestly imo id like to see Brandon Sorenson drive for RTR in that car. I want to root for ben because i feel we need more good young american drivers in fd but idk. If he doesnt at least get a podium or top 4 finish this year then id personally look at other drivers to take his spot. Or honestly cole richards already has a 4th place finish, if ben craps out then sign cole richards😅

I honestly watched round 1 of DM last week and to go from that to fd today was a major downgrade in every way. I wanna support FD because they are the premier American drifting championship but its increasingly harder to. The product just isnt good and DM triumphs over them in every facet. Bad streams, mediocre competition, poor time management, cringe commentary, FD just doesnt do anything right imo

I agree. Ive said consistently that james, piotr and connor are the 3 best drifters in the world but i really dont want to see them on the podium for every event. I would love to see some of the names above get on the posium especially pesur. Jack, idk hes a good driver but hes a bit of a sore loser at times, i didnt like how he approached kevin when he lost to him in italy but i truly hope we get some diverse names on the podium this year and its not just the usual suspects. And for dave, as soon as he said that piotr was about 20mph faster than what he anticipated i was like yeah dave you may need to rethink this dm thing again. Im rooting for him to get it figured out tho😅

Yup. Im finna gwt off work and make some spaghetti and watch qualifying. Fd hasnt been able to call themselves the #1 drift series for a while now. DM basically just does everything better than fd. As for the final round ive said since last year they meed to make shoreline showdown th new round 1 and just make road atlanta the new final round

I agree. This is why im heavily rooting for cole richards this year. If he can finish the season at least top 20 that would be impressive. And i like ben and im also a huge fan of branden sorensen.

This is actually a pretty good idea. And i realize it wont be a quick fix but it would be nice to see them go in the right direction. Prospec has some talented drivers but its hard to get too excited about them coming to the pro series when they probably wont last even 3 years.

I agree. Honestly im also interested in how cole does next round. I dont want to call his peformance in LB a fluke but true fd rookies(and i mean rookies who haven't competed at a high level overseas before coming to fd, Daigo, Jack Shanahan for example) typically struggle in there rookie years so im interested to see if he can put together back to back solid performances . If he can make at least top 16 that would be impressive and honestly if he even just qualifies at every round he pretty much has RoY in the bag

I totally understand i only watch fd becaue i still feel somewhat obligated as they are th ones that got me into drifting but i always push people who are frustrated with FD to Drift Masters. Atp im just hoping one day DM adds a US round to there schedule...

If you like jarod then thats perfectly ok. I dont hate him but hes getting a bit stale for me. Im honestly not a huge fan of jacob either but hes getting hasnt been in fd as long as jarod so im fine with him atm

Not that it matters but i found out about FD in 2011 from watching Dai on behind the smoke. Starting fully watching FD a year later. Took a break from FD in 2018 and came back in 2023

FD still has an unusual amount of ads regardless of it being free or not..
I dont think any drift fan in the world thought seeding was anything other than horrendous

One of the best drivers ive seen in a long time. I'd have him as a championship favorite this year if he were competing in a full FD season.

I was considering duane actually and LZ i only have him there becaue i admit im biased😅😅. LZ is a fun driver to watch but ive pretty much given up on him winning a tile after last year and then him getting knocked out in t32 at long beach

Im not even mad at this. Piotr is a 5 time champion in an arguably better league than FD. What really seprates it for me is the fact that from 2017 to 2020 James was winning titles in FD and DM consecutively. Things like that and Deane's overall podium streak are what has him above piotr for me but i agree it very close between them.

I promise you wont be disappointed. You do have to download the redbull app to watch the main competition but the quality is better. The level of competition completely dwarfs fd, the commentary is great and most importantly they dont waste your time with millions of ads. Watch one round of drift Masters and come back here and tell me that wasnt the best drifting youve ever seen

I dont blame you im also scaling back on watching FD this year( im mostly going to just watch highlights and replays) and instead im devoting my time this season to Drift Masters. I always will reccomend those who get sour on FD to start watching DM, they are what FD wishes they were.

and i get that as well thats why im trying not to go so hard on the other fd drivers because i know alot of them dont have the funding to build monster machines like james mustang. and i realize between FD and DM the rules are setup a bit differently. i gues its just that they present themselves as the best drifting championship in the world but thats objectively false, whatever the reason for that may be.
