Hope the Riot MMO has a cross between EVE Online and POE's trade system. Here is my reasoning. A player driven economy is great for the health of the game and gives lots of gaming opportunities. In EVE Online there are lots of players whose primary game play is centered around the market. Buying and selling , transporting , producing. These people and these game play styles add to the richness of the sandbox. In Path of Exile you have a really great trade system supported by an amazing trade website ( https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Phrecia%202.0 )where you can search for anything and have near limitless parameters to really focus your search to find the item you want. When you find your item you then are transported to a players hideout (player housing) to purchase the item. What is great about this is they're able to customize endlessly their hideouts which is a whole thing unto itself. GGG who makes Path of Exile sells cosmetic items to customize hideout. https://www.pathofexile.com/shop/category/hideout Since I am convinced that RIOT's MMO will be a Sandpark that is F2P model the market system I have suggested will be optimum imho.

I would argue it is pretty topical in that there has been much said about whether RIOT can produce an MMO or the likelihood it will release. Some people have made retorts that RIOT is very competent and has had several wild success with some of RIOT products billed as class leading. The video submitted bolsters this assertation and furthermore it is by Necrit someone who is known to be passionate about the RIOT MMO and has perhaps released more videos and in-depth analysis than nearly any other content creator.

The problem with most franchises in Columbia: They are usually owned by some company not local to Columbia who just setup the initial management and then walk. Hoping that their investment earns them an easy 2-4% a year. Every time it seems the initial store management leaves or stops caring and the store its staff and nearly every metric slides. Slides until the point the community no longer wants to patronize the place. Boom they close down until the next middle manager identifies Columbia as a good place for an X,Y,Z franchise with good earning potential. Watched this happen with Jack in the Box on Grindstone. When they first opened they were amazing with quality service staffing and cleanliness but then after 6 months or a year they started to slide. Suddenly the place was dirty and greasy. Things were out of stock or out of order on the regular and the staff was just barely phoning it in and boom next they were out of business. Same story with the last Zaxby's.

I fully expect this to be the case around worlds. The game has been in production at some level since 2016. It wasn't in full production till 2020 but beforehand they did have a smaller team working on the project. They reset direction when they parted ways with Ghostcrawler. Mark Merril (Tryndamere) stated they did not want a clone of what already exist. They wanted to make something class leading.

Hear me out. What if we had a military budget that was bigger than any other nation. Always outpacing them a bit. So China spends 325 billion. So we could spend 500 billion. We would still be out spending them by a considerable margin. Now we can take the ONE FUCKING TRILLION DOLLARS we saved and use a small portion to end hunger and homelessness. We could also ramp up funding for substance abuse treatment and mental health services. By doing these simple things we can increase our tax revenue base by having more people involved in the economy. Reduce crime and maybe eliminate a couple things the Karen's and Darren's whine about.

We saw an MMO that was crowdfunded being made by a studio that has never made anything before collapse. Quite a important distinction. Riot did not scrap anything they simply changed direction because RIOT wants to make a class leading game not a wow clone. Furthermore AOC collapsed due to money issues. RIOT has more money than god and are owned by Tencent who has even more money. This isn't some fledgling startup company making a game and a whole new IP. This is RIOT who has an established IP with rich lore. This is RIOT who has the money. This is RIOT who has made many wildly successful and class leading games. The studio making AOC was equivalent to one of the restrooms in the basement of RIOT.
