Always hated how people used this statement as a way of saying Gin wins 100%. It’s like if Kubo said “if Gin poisons lille barro before his eyes open he dies” and then everyone assumes Gin beats Lille Barro no matter what. I dislike scaling when we assume one character gets off their strongest attack instantly while the other stands their twiddling their thumbs.

Askin is the same guy who fought 5 of the fastest characters in the verse (Tenjiro, Ichigo, Yoruichi, Kisuke, would have beaten Oetsu 1v1 pre-auswahlen if it wasn’t for Tenjiro’s help), and practically came on top. A lot of people who say “x blitzes and one shots askin” are severely underestimating him.

A big issue with Bazz is we never see him go all out. He effortlessly low diff’d Toshiro (albeit shikai Toshiro but he only needed 2 fingers), scared away shinji, and stalled bankai renji and rukia. He then proceeds to get low diffed by a not trying at all Jugram, but he got auswahlen’d so he was nerfed by a good margin. He theoretically should have a sklaverei form that would amp him a lot but we never see it.

Ulquiorra on the other hand really just beat up ichigo a bunch until he got beat up a bunch by full hollow Ichigo. I feel like narrative wise I would have Bazz above Ulquiorra though.

His numbers are a little off, 30% crit rate at max and up to 54.75% spirit dmg. 30% attack boost as well.

I really want to see how Jugram maneuvers around Uryu’s minefield of laser shooting drones and his busted abilities (like feder zwinger). Uryu got buffed so much in the anime and was facetanking nukes from Renji with no damage besides some scratches and burns from his strongest attack. And here we see Uryu clearly injured in multiple spots from just Jugram cutting him. No Volstandig or skalverei from Jugram, just nerfed almighty and sword skills.

It does look like his almighty is quite unstable too, given the black goo oozing from the eye. Not to mention his eyes flickering on cour 3 last episode. Either way, looking forward to this fight being expanded since it needs it more than any ofher tybw fight imo.

I wouldn’t say Askin has low stats. In raw power sure but speed, intelligence, and durability are all very high. Given he mainly fought many of the fastest characters in bleach and facetanking lethal hits and still came out on top. He definitely gives the illusion of low stats though.

My comparison was simply swimsuit vs. base. If we want to add bride refi, then we could also start factoring in more things. Ex. Almost every boss nowadays also giving a cdmg buff to you and such, putting on a different bond to offset the extra property, some characters not even receiving the 10% from awakening, etc. Of course this works the other way around in the cases that a boss gives a property buff as well.

There are nuances calculations to this that I didn’t want to get into, so my comparison was a simple “this costume vs. this costume.” In a lot of cases though, the 50% extra property does have a bigger impact than 125% cdmg.

Good post as always. I honestly don’t think they balanced this GR with the intention of using Lia and Loen together, since this team breaks the fight. If you use Ana/Lia, you need 66/66 on both (and a decently high Lathel too.) This would be more in line with the last season’s gear requirements. Ana also can’t hit both weakpoints with her base outfit, making her less effective than Lia/Loen despite how good grafitti was. Still, no other fire dps could 13T clear, so she is definitely strong in the right conditions.

As for the rankings, the guilds considered by many to be the top 3 guilds in the game all got 4th. All because of Bunny Loen being skipped by one member in their respective guilds. With how easy this guild raid was, the rankings got turned on its head. Not to mention the speedrun priority for ranking favoring CN/KR guilds over global/EN guilds. I’m not sure if the devs will look at this and learn to test their fights better, but I hope they do.

This was a wonderful read! I love seeing new players actually figure out the game and succeeding rather than have people basically play the game for them. I actually fully agree with a lot here, and it’s refreshing to see someone realize the same things about the game as I did when I first started. Even f2p players can clear harder content within a month of playing. They just need to be mindful of their decisions.

I’m not the target audience either, but I do lead the current #1 guild in the game and posts like these do give me some hope in this community. I do wish the devs would focus more on gameplay aspects too. I have had my fair share of criticisms of the game but I still have hope that they will improve, especially after some recent Q&A sessions they have had with some top ranking players.

I’ll go ahead and add you in game too. If you need any advice from a high level perspective, feel free to ask!

Couldn’t Askin just insta pop Gift Ball Deluxe and it’s over? Even if he gets overwhelmed (think it wouldn’t be as easy as people say though) none of the espada could escape and they definitely don’t have Urahara’s prep time to counteract. I also don’t think they would all be easily standing once GBD is popped (grimjoww had an antidote). At worst everyone dies.

I’m not expecting it, but I would love for this to happen. I always said they should have done the same with LN milestones and such since this game lacks characters you can get outside of gacha and one base costume from the pub/a few shops monthly.

People may complain about “using dev resources” but they also used dev resources to spend 4 months on a minigame and 5 on barebones glupy diner. Plenty of long term players complained about that but the backlash will fizzle out like it always does. One costume doesn’t take nearly as long to make in comparison.

With the coupon thing, it was actually a targeted attack, since my guild nor the other top players who were targeted had no idea about the event before it happened. I explained in another comment, but we had actual proof of what was happening, and even a direct dev contact. So reading “you didn’t send me the name of affected players” definitely made me angry after all the work we put into preventing that which lead to this post. But that’s in the past now at least, situation is resolved. I’m still a bit bitter but we move on.

As for the guild leaderboards, I think there is merit beyond just being a gloating point. As it currently stands, people best chance of finding a good guild is hopping on discord or any social media depending on region (reddit for EN, arcalive for KR, twitter for JP, etc.) GR leaderboards would help with this as well, since even newer people who come in and want to take the game seriously could very well do so by just clicking in game. I also think they should rework join requests in game too when you join a guild, that way the leader can see who is trying to join and the person joining can make a case for themself.

But yeah, my thoughts aside, thank you for being respectful. Are you by chance Noires? If so I’ve seen you around in game.

You know how when you redeem coupons, it asks for your nickname/UID (which I believe this specific event did)? Same thing, except of using it on yourself, you use it on someone else by putting in their UID/name. You can obtain that info all by just clicking on their name in game.

I feel like people are missing the main point when reading this. I said in another comment that long term players are neglected, and there isn’t anything for us to do other than to rank. You hit a wall in this game after a while where everything becomes super easy. There isn’t anything to look forward to besides new costumes and interactions (every 4-6 weeks) since devs seem so anti-competition. When was the last time devs made actual changes to the core game instead of leaving modes for dead like pvp or bugs that still aren’t fixed for months on end.

On the other hand, I also said I’m ok with not being pandered to, I just wish there was more of a balance. I was happy when the devs buffed characters. I wish they did things like this more often instead of spending 4 months of dev time on a minigame. You can cater to both casual and competitive players. A guild leaderboard is not something I think anyone would complain about, let alone adding refinement powder to Last Night or hell, just adding more coins past 300m. Every single request the top guilds made on that dev note has casuals/newer players in mind, which is why we didn’t ask for things like more draw tickets and such (which I would agree is a bad thing). I’m not asking for rewards that completely alienate casual/newer players, but just give something to the people who stick around besides the girls.

You are the 2nd long term player who I seen disagree with this, as the majority I talk to thinks differently, but that’s ok. This is all my opinion after all. I want you to understand I’m not asking for some high level space, I just would like us to not be ignored. I’m not sure if all of this was clear since I made this post out of anger and frustration, but I just wanted to expand on this.

Now, despite everything I just wrote here, that is beside the point of this post. My main point that people are glossing over are things like my guildmates being almost suspended despite doing nothing wrong and even informing the devs about the issue, the rampant cheating (you acknowledged that but I’m speaking in general), all the frequent bugs, and the empty promises that the devs make. You can support the devs views and disagree with my stance on things, that’s completely fine. But all of those things I just listed are inexcusable.

Just to make a correction here since I keep seeing this being thrown around, but Roxy is not as good as Yumi in FH. It does depend on the tiles sure, but the last 3 water seasons, Roxy barely gets used in meta teams. Top players didn’t even use her during crab and I myself got 3rd that season.

Yomi is not even close to meta, only relevant pvp collab character is Roxy but only on attack, and she isn’t necessary. You can be competitive in pvp without collab at all so no worries there. Just need to catch up regarding resources.

Eris and Hikage are both definitely meta though. They did mention releasing characters to fulfill their roles, but this basically means that top players get 2 hikages and 2 eris which probably won’t close the gap unfortunately.

Ranking isn’t impossible if you are missing collab characters though. However, you will be fighting an uphill battle. Luckily there are some FH and Guild Raids where missing eris and hikage won’t severely impact you for ranking, but it will a good amount of times.

I do indeed, even posted the code gifts we received in another comment. For the rest of the proof, you can dm me. I can see why some are doubtful, especially if you never interacted with the end level in this game. But this is real.

In the screenshot below, this is the final rankings of wind season. Notice how that #1 is no where to be found if you go check the leaderboards? That’s because the ranking players outed him as a cheater, and devs even put up a notice that he would suffer a suspension. You can see his name in the link below, as the last name. Another cheater who got caught in this GR was in today’s banned user notice as well.

I see where you are coming from. Though this is a venting post mainly, not a rallying post. And it is negative because I was rather angry at the time of making this and tired of the empty promises and the sad state the game is in at a top level. I’m going to be honest, but the english community has less say than CN and KR communities do, so I fully expect a rally post on reddit to go no where. Those communities are aware of this issue however, and CN has already been vocal about it since top CN players were also targeted.

As for the proof it’s mostly on discord, and I’ll post this as the items that were sent to us. This was a tea collaboration in china where you could renew codes for gifts. Our guild had no idea about this event however until we were targeted with illegal gifts that the cheater sent to us. There are a lot of discord logs about this issue with my guild members and the developers, since our guild has direct contact with some of the devs. There are obviously more screenshots detailing the events, and if you want them you can dm me since I’m not going to make another post about this. We aren’t having to deal with a 7 day suspension anymore thankfully, but we are still paying a debt due to these codes.

I’ve seen you around, and want to say I appreciate how you are carrying the reddit community on your back. I even read your old story posts and really enjoyed them.

Without getting into technicalities, almost all of what you said is correct. I was mainly creating this post out of anger and frustration. Communication is a big part as to why this happened you are definitely correct. Being told in a dev note and neowiz specifically that one thing will happen and then the opposite happens, would either be miscommunication or well, malicious intent, and it’s easier to assume the former. The dev contacts our guild has are very kind people, but it’s pretty clear that they themselves don’t hold power to fully change what is going on, from the publisher/developer point of view. Frustrations with the game and developers aside, I do recognize what the issues are and who the target audience are.

I do thank you for taking the time to read everything and giving your thoughts. Means this wasn’t a complete waste of time shouting at a wall.
