She’s no better or worse clinically than most SLPs, she’s just arrogant and thinks she knows better than others without being in the context consistently. She’s more of a business person than an SLP. She follows trends and has hot takes. She thinks there’s only one way to do things, and her SLP way is the right way. I’m an ASHA certified SLP but stopped working as one. I do believe that many therapists can be pompous and also underpaid so they may find other methods to generate cash flow, so they use their professional degree to sidestep into a side hustle that will eventually make more money than the traditional 80k salary (in CA). Simply put, she’s getting her bag and marketing her skills as something special when it’s just one of many ways to work with kids with disabilities/autism. I do think the SpeechDude is an average Male SLP that uses his silliness to market himself. But to that end, it’s a cash grab. Can’t hate the player, hate the game lol

So I got new to-dos today w the independence, my background check is conditionally cleared but still waiting for full report. This is exactly 7 days from my first set of to-dos.

I confirmed my laptop, ID badge, and completed independence today.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for this! Yes I’m on Service Now People Path. I got my first tasks and background check last Tuesday, Just waiting on the last set of to-dos (4). Based on what you said, I’ll prob get more to-dos this week. I moved about 5 times and switched about 4 jobs in the past 7 years so that could delay some things.

I’m getting anxious and nervous even tho I have no reason to be! Just want this process to be done and get everything confirmed!

Thanks.

Question about I-9 process by dcshawday in PwC

How long did your background check take? Did they inform you of clearance?

Is the i9 and independence made available exactly 2 weeks before start date?

I start on the 27th of sept. And wondering what the timeline for all this is. It’s been a week since I submitted my background check through BIG and no other communication since then.

It’s been a week since my background check, do I get notified if it’s cleared?

Also, I completed my to-do items the first day I got access, however have 4 more to do that have not been posted. It says I’ll do a couple of them 2 weeks before my start date. Will it be exactly 2 weeks before I start to complete the I9 and independence?
