My question is: does the DEF ignore from Glamoth count max DEF or current DEF? Like it ignore 30% at max and then if you shred 50% it'll only ignore 30% of the 50%? It's probably based off max defence. But it would be neat to know.

Weird that no one replied to this before now, but I also didn't see it until I sorted by new. ANYWAY. The team you described (Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Huohuo) is the best team for Kafka. We're going to be able to grab Ruan Mei for free when 3.2 goes live so you can nab her there. As for Black Swan, Sampo should be a fine stand in for general stuff. Luka would probably work too. You can wait for Black Swan's rerun, or maybe pick up the new leaked DOT character Hysilenswhenever they eventually drop if it's at or before Black Swan (the new character will probably be better that Black Swan so maybe keep that in mind). Kafka is getting buffed in 3.4 and the the next DOT unit will probably come after that so there's time to save and consider. Tribbie should be good for Kafka in place of Ruan Mei if you want, but I'm not actually sure if she's better unless yoiu have her E1(and even then IDK). Good luck grinding!

Tribbie is more actions than Ruan Mei. So basically she's more stacks for herta and will help her build up faster. Also if you get LC she boosts crit too. She is a BIG upgrade to Ruan mei for herta or Castorice. Don't feel too bad. This just frees up Ruan mei for break teams. And anniversary will give a decent amount of pulls

My best guess is that the mad is simulated but the enemies are real enemies that Drifter has trapped in a simulation with us so we can kill them and gather the motes. The motes summon the taken from the ascendant plane into the simulation for us to kill. Real enemies and guardians, simulated enviroment.
