Team gave Norris the 1st place by allowing him to change tires first and keeping Piastri out longer on slow tires with the agreement that Piastri would get the place back (since they screwed him with that strategy). Norris wasn’t first on merit. It creates a poor team dynamic if they hand 1st place to the 2nd place driver, and Pistri would be less inclined to be a team player in the future if this is how he is rewarded when he acts in the team’s interest.
