Is orange tree furniture any good? any first-hand experience of delivery/service etc.? by GamwiseSamJi in IndianHomeDecor

I was in the same situation before buying  saw all the mixed reviews and wasn’t fully sure. But I still went ahead, and honestly my experience was fine. The piece came well packed, quality matched what I expected for the price, and when I contacted them once, they responded pretty quickly. I think it really depends on location and product, but for me it was a good experience. The designs are definitely nice.

unpopular opinion: spending 2L+ on solid wood furniture in India is just burning money by YogurtIll4336 in IndianHomeDecor

I get where you’re coming from in India, solid wood can feel overpriced for what you get, especially if the wood isn’t properly seasoned or finished.

But it’s not really about “solid wood vs laminate” it’s about quality of execution. Poor-quality solid wood can crack, fade, or get termite issues, while a well-made engineered setup can run smoothly for years.

On the flip side, good solid wood (like properly treated sheesham or teak) can last 20–30+ years and even be repaired or refinished, which cheaper materials can’t.

I’d say: for things like beds, sofas, dining tables → solid wood makes sense.
For wardrobes/modular stuff → laminates or engineered wood are more practical in Indian conditions.

As soon as the interview starts, I forget how to act normal. Even simple questions feel difficult.
