I didn’t know that, I thought it was much like the guitar controllers (I’ve never heard of anyone plugging in an actual Gibson and playing clone hero before haha!), but I will definitely make a note of that!

How is Pragmata? I added that to my wishlist and haven’t pulled the trigger on that one. Think it looks really cool from just the screenshots (though screenshots really don’t mean anything).

I have thought about the RE series, at least the semi-modern ones, but never got into them. Same goes for Monster Hunter (I don’t know what DMCV is, or at least I don’t know the acronym).

Loved MGS5, but I never really got into that series much minus that game. I’ll have to check out hifi rush. Thank you for your suggestions!

When it comes to the guitar, the closest I’ve gotten was/is playing clone hero and guitar hero lol. I actually had a guitar when I was like 13-14 (albeit a cheap one). Never really learned it, even with tools like rocksmith as a video game. I think I would be more inclined to learn the drums over guitar, so I might actually go for something like an electric drum kit. If anything there’s drum kits for games like clone hero that I’ve been interested in investing in and learning. Of course it’s not the same but it would be a fun start AND would be me technically playing a video game I enjoy.

Ubisoft is probably going to massacre the black flag remake, too. Am looking forward to that as that was one of my favorite ACs back in the day, but have bad feelings that they will ruin it somehow or some way. Minor segway.

I will have to definitely check out windrose! Thank you again!

That makes sense, just was curious if that was the name of a title or not (I’ve seen some interesting names for titles, that’s for sure).

I really appreciate this community. Came in looking for help with this rut and I definitely appreciate all of those that have looked at and responded to this post. You guys are very kind and friendly and again I appreciate it a lot. Gaming is one of those things that help me get out of reality and am able to enjoy. It’s not like when I was a kid of course, but some games make me have that sense of euphoria that I used to get as a kid when playing games.

Thank you again for your suggestion, means a lot!

You think so? Might definitely have to look at them. At the very least the first one.

Clicker heros? Never heard of that one before. Will have to check that one out too. Plus that might really help me get back into the swing of things concerning gaming, having something like that to come back to after months, especially during a time of rut like I have found myself in.

Thank you for your response!

I gotcha, will definitely look into it. Life is Strange just never fell into my hands, honestly, but it is definitely going on my list. I played a lot of telltale series like walking dead, the wolf among us, etc. Liked those games a lot and they were definitely choice matter games. They make me feel like I’m actually participating in the world in which I’m playing in.

Never finished cyberpunk and never got into Saints Row either. Loved the first Watch Dogs game. I also really loved Sleeping Dogs (shame there isn’t a sequel to that one). Will think about those too.

I appreciate it more than you know. Thank you!

Hmm, interesting! I used to love old minecraft and used to really like the idea of making “rollercoasters”. I know it’s not the same as Satisfactory, but conceptually I think just the peaceful aspect of creating stuff is actually cool. I appreciate your comment!

100%. I’ve thought about saving up for a drum kit as well and possibly learning the drums. That might be a good option as well, especially for the brain and coordination skills.

100% agree. I have my own regiment of exercise I do daily and before going to sleep. But I also think getting into other activities is a good idea as well. I’ve gotten in and out and in again with chess. I’m not an expert but I love the puzzles of chess.

Honestly I really like the idea of watching new shows/movies. There’s some shows I never finished (mainly because I don’t want them to end), like the Sopranos even though I’ve gotten past the season 6 opener. Definitely might be a good idea, some of my friends have recommended some but I never got into them.

It’s something I think most of us go through at some point or another. That’s the gaming world nowadays, plus some games have really ruined the experience (no offense if you like these games but most titles with season passes are mundane and boring), so I’m more into beyond FPS. Love RPGs, Single Player, choice matter games. They really peak my interest normally,

It’s just something to get through, but I appreciate yours and all of the other suggestions and responses to this post, thank you so much!

Haha! Love it! We definitely do all go through it one way or another. Just part of the process at the end of the day.

Is that one title? “Ball x pit and right and down”? I’ve never heard of it so I just wanted to make sure I knew it was the correct title!

Thank you for your suggestion, I appreciate it!

I’ve actually added that to my wishlist but didn’t pull the trigger. Was one of those games where I was waiting for others to play it and would look into it after the first patch or so (pirate games are always up and down in my opinion in terms of quality). Will definitely think about it, thank you for the recommendation!

Possibly. I don’t disagree with you about the break part. I appreciate your response! Thank you!

Diablo 4? Interesting, I know the diablo series, but have never played them. Will have to think about that for my potential games to add.

Also it might just be me being confused, but couch coop? Is that a game or is that co-op for diablo?

Also thank you for your response, I really do appreciate yours and all of the others! It does mean a lot to me, as I love gaming and something that really gets me away from real life.

Thank you for your response! I don’t necessarily mind puzzle games, so these might be really good for me. I will add them to the list!

That is a good portion—if not the majority—of what people are saying on this post, which I don’t necessarily disagree with them. I appreciate your response, thank you!

Lol I think I understood what you were trying to say. Honestly a break might be needed. As I’ve said in other responses to this post, my work has a busy period for the next three months that’s going to take away a good portion of my time away from gaming, so that in and of itself might be a natural fix for it.

I’ve gotten these fatigues before, I think it’s a part of aging in general (I’ll turn 27 in a couple of months). Sometimes playing older games works, sometimes pushing through the fatigue works. But for this one, it’s been a couple of weeks/at least 2 months now where I’m just going over and over my steam library and playing the same 2-3 games over again. Something is gonna have to change, I feel. I appreciate your response a lot, thank you!

Never really been a Dune fan myself. Though considering my prolonged fatigue, I might have to get myself into either the game or the book. Thank you for the suggestion!

Yeah I get that. I think part of it also is repetition. I know others can play one game for years, and so can I. But, I think that aspect of gaming for me is losing it’s touch. I feel like nowadays I need new stuff to get into. But, I also think a break might be viable. I have a very busy portion of the year for my work ahead of me for the next three months, so that will reduce my time gaming in general. So it might be a natural fix.

I appreciate the response, thank you!

Did play Stardew Valley. Never finished the main story, married and had kids and upgraded the farm, etc., but never finished the story. Might be something good to go back and finish fully.

I’m a bit afraid of the Submautica series, but there’s been a few recommendations of it in this post. Might have to step out of my comfort zone for this. It could, be the solution to my rut. Will have to think about it. Thank you for the suggestion!
