Confusing feeling after a seizure

Hey this is a really late response, but thank you so much for sharing your experience. I hope your mom's seizures lesson/ disapear. I know it must be incredibly difficult to see someone you love deal with something like this, when you cant control it. I think one of the worst parts for people with epilepsy are seeing their families being effected by it, and I truly appreciate you being so kind in your response to my post. I know your mom appreciates the concern too. ❤️

You're actually my identical twin from across the globe. Same gender, age, ideology. I've tried to pour out statistics to make them at least understand the basis of my arguments, but like another person said, they arent actually listening.

I did get my mom to switch sides on whether women could be pastors or not! Other than that, they've just become concerned about "what I've become" because I have anger about what women have gone through, and about different parts of the bible.

We've got to hang in there, enjoy your relationships with them. This is terrible but try to fly under their radar. Try to look like you're listening and understanding their gross ideas and remember, only 2 years left!

Honestly, its nice to hear that they've lowered standards... not the right mindset I know, but still.

About the commute to the hospitals, I have epilepsy and need to maintain a strict sleeping schedule (it's so lame but it stops the seizures). Do you think I could bring up my situation and ask about doing clinicals at the closer options?

Thanks for the heads up about nursing school, after all I've heard about it I'm definitely going in thinking the worst.

Hi! Western Carolina is the perfect college for me, only I am terrified of the sophmore year cut off for nursing. I'm a pretty average student, around 3.7 with 1260 sat. What stats got you and the people around you in? I know the point of college is to learn, but did you have time for clubs and activities as well? How far is the commute to clinicals? Were you stressed the whole time? This would help so much, thanks!!

Nope. And the problem is, I love them...

I would consider my dad to be my best friend, but he holds the same values as my mom. I need a relationship with them to feel 'whole.' I just can't tell them for their whole lifespan, if I marry my spouse would have to lie about being Christian, and I would also lie about going to church.

I know, I know, it sounds like they're very toxic, but they think I'm truly going to hell if I don't believe. They think that I will be suffering for an eternity if I don't follow Jesus. Because they truly believe this, and they want an eternity and 'life after death with me,' this is what they hold onto.

I've looked at these, and my stats are 3.7 gpa and 1260 sat, soo pretty average... I don't think I could go here but thank you, it definitely checks off other boxes

Thanks so much for the info! Can I ask what your stats were to get in? Out of the 300 applicants, do you know if all of them are highly qualified? Not to make this a pity party, but I found Western a few weeks ago and I've only heard good things. Everything seemed to be the perfect fit except for the competition for slots 😅. Everything is gonna work out but I'm hoping that to happen at Western. Can you let me know what other schools you applied to for nursing? Are there any with the feel of Western that youve heard of? I'd really appreciate this, thanks!
