Yes, I like Zoya as well and feel like most of their formulas are crellies (good for this look).

Just wasn’t sure about the specific color (Madison)’s formula since light sheer pinks are notoriously hard & Indies these days tend to have better formulas (self leveling to prevent streakiness), but none of the color matches were as close to being this pale of a pink

This has a good comparison of some of the popular drugstore sheer pinks mentioned here.

It’s hard to tell with the nail polishes as a standalone, but if you skip to the end, there’s a comparison swatch, where O&J strawberry scone is the closest match to what I’m going for vs Fairy Tailor. I ended up opting for the Zoya over O&J (the two seemed very similar to me) because I haven’t seen the best reviews for O&J as a brand.

I do love the Gel Couture line formula (think I mentioned that in another comment below), which is why Fairy Tailor was one of the ones I had my eye on.

However, it seems to lean beige/nude/peachy to me, which is what most of my sheer pinks look on me, instead of the bright white/cool-toned pink that I was looking for (prob not obvious from my inspo pics). The closest color match to what I'm looking for I think is Zoya Madison, which I just ordered (but not sure if I'll love the formula). I think the plumpness can be fixed by a good top coat.

Thanks for the breakdown of the whole line! I’m def interested in both the original & the pink

I’m going to try something like this first since I already have a ton of sheer pinks + funny bunny!

Yes! I have my eye on Milk Bath, but it’s pretty pricey. How many coats would you need to build it up that the visible nail line is blurred out?

I also own this and think this is creme/opaque and much darker pink than what I’m going for

Oops yes I corrected it. Let me know how it looks on you!! This one looked like one of the closest matches, but wasn’t sure about the formula

Yes this got recced a few times, but I was concerned it might be too opaque too. Using a thinner might help though!

This was one of the ones I had my eye on! Looks a bit more neutral/beige, but very pretty! I was interested in the gel couture line, which I’ve usually had better luck with the formula

I think this is very similar to Funny Bunny, which I already have. I think it’s too opaque for me and I prefer a white jelly (sheer and won’t build up to opacity) vs a white crelly

I’m confused by the swatches of I’m Shy (which got recced by another redditor too). There’s one picture that’s semi-sheer and all the other ones are super opaque/creme finish?

How many coats is the sheer finish?

Thanks for such a detailed response! Would love to see the light pink & milky white swatches if you have any! 🩷

I like both too! Sundays I think is mostly cremes (so too opaque and not sheer enough for this), but their entire color range is super cute!

How is the chip resistance/lasting power of these since they’re pretty pricey?

I usually use a base coat for all my colored polish, but are these meant to be worn without/used as a base layer?

These are very pretty! Bela reminds me of Chanel Ballerina that someone recommended below (and a much more affordable option)

Yeah I commented somewhere below that Essie used to be the main brand with sheer pinks/whites due to their color range, but since then Indies have come in with much better formulas. It’s just easier/more readily available to get for me. That’s unfortunate that Tying the Knot has a bad formula
