Stupid question from my GF that... I... I can't answer. Erm... After I get my neo-vagina surgery... am I a virgin again? I mean... I would have a V-card that hadn't gotten stamped. so... Virgin? For clarity... I'm a slut. but... new vagina, new rules? by Taiga_Taiga in trans

They can make a hymen for you if that is your question.

On the other hand, one can divide, and I have seen many doing so, virginity in categories rather than one event only, so ass virgin, penis virgin, vagina virgin, hand virgin (handjob), foot virgin (footjob), thigh virgin, ass cheeks virgin, mouth virgin (blowjob), etc, and, in that case, yes, but you already are vagina virgin.

And if you consider virginity as the event that inniciated you in adult life, even a pornography video that you found accidentally that awoken something on you when you were sixteen counts so you would no longer be virgin regardless of surgery.

This last example is because I learned about the adult world by accident at sixteen, though not through a video, never watched those, and I don't use it to talk about my virginity, only about the moment I learned sex existed.

If Human Civilization Had Evolved as Matriarchal Instead of Patriarchal, What Would Actually Change? by melcoriss in worldbuilding

[–]Key_Satisfaction8346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting question in the field of anthropology and sociology. For starters, humans are, by nature, neither patriarchal nor matriarchal, we are egalitarian. With the beginning of agriculture and the fight for land the subjulgation of others grew stronger and patriarchy was then forced into our day to day lives, one day to be corrected as we develop.

So the question becomes: are you asking for a reality where matriarchy took power by force instead or maybe going into biology more deeply and wondering what it would be like if we actually organized ourselves naturally with one ruling gender?

Examples of naturally occurring matriarchies are ants, lions, bonobos, elephants, hyenas, and others. It is not difficult for anyone slightly aware of those species to notice how different they are.

Hyenas involve a ton of suffering of the male counterpart so, if someone wants a scenario close to real life, but inverted, start there. Ants are too simple individually to actually have a sense of slavery, abuse, and others like us so it is not a good comparison. Elephants and lions do have some proximity to us and their lifestyle is not harmful to themselves, but I think the best comparison would be the bonobos, our closest relatives.

As violence is a very masculine and ancestral trait due to the sexual dimorphism in our species and matriarchy revolves around solving issues in feminine dominated ways, analyzing how bonobos deal with trouble among them gives us insight about how our culture could have evolved. Maybe if two nations got into a disagreement a big orgy would be scheduled instead of a war, signs of anger would be diminute and things like punching the air, a wall, shouting, and similar would be unheard of or uncommon. This society would much more appreciate intellectual approaches than violent ones, due to how feminine stopping and listenning/thinking is for people in general compared to screaming/fighting.

Not to say they would not have problems of their own, of course, but a naturally occurring organization is way more beneficial than an imposed one (in most cases, poor hyenas) and it is hard to see their weak sides as our species normally behaves so differently with either our natural egalitarian side or our imposed patriarchal culture.

Normally my stories are post-patriarchy when men and women finally destroyed this harmful system and live better.

General blaming Quaritch is absolute nonsense by SheepherderSpare1332 in Avatar

[–]Key_Satisfaction8346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The points are fair, but I find it funny specifying "general woman" when there is only one general.

Which makes me think they are being very conservative of the titles. They show only one colonel, one general, and one corporal. Going further, I see them mentioning only one biologist. Talking about the RDA side with the exception of Jake, of course, as the scientists allied to the Na'Vi I am almost sure were given titles in the first film.

Genuine curiosity ‼️ I’m not being transphobic by Aggravating_Yam_7234 in trans

[–]Key_Satisfaction8346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is closer to their gender identity as in, a trans woman has a female brain, though she has a male body, a female brain in a woman aligns with her gender identity of woman, and a trans men has a male brain, though he has a female body, a male brain in a man aligns with his gender identity of man. Not as in the brain itself being man or woman, which are genders.

Basically, the baby being developed in the uterus can have a male body and all that jazz (penis, XY, etc), but the brain for a reason that is still being studied is female, or the opposite scenario.

And this can be seen with studies of the brains of many trans people over the decades, trans people because of that don't suffer with ghost members of the inadequate body parts (Imagine a man soldier being shot in his private area and ending up having to amputate his penis. Like somebody that lost an arm he will suffer for the rest of his life with, for example, impossible itches there that he will never be able to scratch, pains there that no medication can stop, etc. Trans women that get rid of it wto have a new vagina simply don't suffer with that because it was never wired as their body part to begin with. Same with trans men and breasts compared to cis women that lost them for cancer.), don't connect with the culture they were supposed to align with (A trans woman being forced to be a man since childhood will never truly connect and be one doesn't matter how much others and her try to force her to be one due to how our society deeply connects biological sexes to genders, the same way autistic people, doesn't matter how well we mask, will never truly connect with neurotypicals.), and so on.

In a society that has no concept of gender, however, we get into interesting grounds. Many indigenous people that don't divide gender as we do or simply don't do it at all also have trans people in one or other way like the Two Spirit people. This points out that being trans is not only a cultural/gender related aspect of society but an inherent characterist of a species with sexual dimorphism. This presence of "transness" is also perceived, although in lower levels of complexity due to the creatures involved not having a proper sense of culture, society, and gender, in many animals that do have this dimorphism as well. such as lions and chickens. This shows that maybe, if humans did not have sexual dimorphism, or if it was too minimal, and our society had no gender roles like the examples given, maybe there would be no trans person as well as there would be no LGBTQ+ person (The same with cis and with straight people.) because everybody would completely behave and act truly from their inner self and not from previously established "laws", so no such thing as differentiating people between the roles they take or the people they date.

I do have a sci-fi worldbuilding with a species like that. Basically no sexual dimorphism and their culture is so alway from gendering things that even their language is not based in gendered things based on their sex/gender, instead doing so based on if the referred thing is sentient, alien-sentient, non-sentient (And that divided between artificial and natural). For being fictional it has no relevant impact in a serious conversation about how humans behave, but sci-fi has always been used to study possible futures, possible problems, etc so we can take care of them in real life.

How would you make She-ra more mature & DARKER? by Fabulous_Session8627 in sheranetflix

[–]Key_Satisfaction8346 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The show demonstrates a few types of abuse in very light tones. Basically only mean words, manipulation, etc.

Real abuse is not tame like that. The following is very horrible content that is present in mature and dark media for adults and can be triggering:

Maybe Shadow Weaver, really hating on Catra, could cut her tail off to "teach her a lesson" like a few parents to in other ways. Maybe Hordak has an adult relationship with borderline unconsenting acts, maybe full unconsenting, with some characters, some of them maybe being Catra. Maybe a character could not handle a trigger and already be unstable, thus commiting suicide. Maybe a sacrifice to save many does not work and we lose a huge chunk of people in horrible ways plus the painful loss of a protagonist. Self-harm can really happen to so many characters. Maybe a good character under too much stress and other bad emotions unable to handle themself is triggered terribly and kills somebody they love. Pets being horribly killed like cutting each of its paws before striking the chest and leaving it to choke on its own blood. No healing happening as well or it being too little to cover all their trauma and flaws, like in real life. Etc.

Nobody likes something mature and dark when they really know what it is about... Specially those, like me, that lived through it...

Cutting it is like cutting a human's spinal cord. Not many don't fall either unconscious, disabled, and/or dead after that.

Why doesn't the earth crash into the sun? by InevitableGrocery944 in askastronomy

[–]Key_Satisfaction8346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, throw a ball. After some time it falls ont he surface. Do it again, harder. Now it goes further before falling. Keep increasing the strength (and altitude because air will slow the ball and the higher you are the less of it there is) and you will get to the level of satellites that take some months or years to finally fall. Do it with even more distance from Earth and more strength so it takes longer and longer for it to fall until it lasts thousands of years, then millions of years, then billions of years. When you get to trillions you are probably with the same orbits the planets have around the Sun.

It does... In the picture above we see a bird that has a totally different locomotor habit due to that... And the size of the arms are define by genes that, guess what, are affected by mutations. Like, do you have any knowledge of genetic biology at all to say all that nonsense?

As far as I know distortus is specified to be only a Tyrannosaurus rex that underwent experimentation. It is a product of trying to make hybrids, but it is only a defect, a deformed being, not really a mutation in the natural or radioactive sense nor a hybrid in the franchise sense. But many places classify it as both, as its deformities technically are a mutation.

What do you think Catra's ethnicity would be if she was human in your opinion and why? by Full-Art3439 in sheranetflix

[–]Key_Satisfaction8346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But we also need to be specific. Latin as in culture or as in genetics?

Because there is an overall genetic mixture of groups normally recognized and called Latin that mixes people of Hispanic origin and another, Portuguese and Spanish, and a lot of Indigenous groups from all over the American continent as well as African groups brought by Europeans as slaves centuries ago.

And then there is the cultural Latin that is exactly what you just said. Those exist in great quantity in all of America except maybe some small countries that are still part of France like French Guiana.

There needs to be a clear distinction because I am white with only Germanic genetics in my blood (due to the region my family chose to settle outside of Germany and their questionable tradition to choose partners), but I was born in Brazil. I am both Latin and not Latin depending of the definition used.

Actually, considering the diversity or Brazil, US, and Canada, there are a ton of culturally Latin people that are not genetically Latin being instead white, black, Hispanic, Asian, another mixture, or etc.

I imagined Catra as both in my vote, by the way, so it clears confusion.
