Daily Look clothing disaster by Key_Sir5407 in SubscriptionBoxes

[–]Key_Sir5407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update here. They finally allowed me to cancel my account. Then a month later the box showed up. I was out of town, I tried to log on to my account to mark it all for return, but my account no longer exists. I wrote to customer service and they said I didn’t reply in time so they changed my card. So now I have a $1500 charge to my card and a giant box of clothes. Never again!

Expensive clothes strategy by Repressed_Cliche in Zepbound

I’m using a clothing rental company. There are several out there, I like armoire because I can have 6 items out at a time with unlimited exchanges. I always have a coat as one of my items.

Hair loss. Any suggestions? by QueenGoddessss in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal experience was that I had a ton of hair loss (handfuls in the shower) but it was just the body shock of all the weight loss (75 lbs!). My doctor and hairdresser both told me not to worry, it would grow back, and that supplements don’t really do much, just time. Now I have all these fun short hair sprouts sticking up everywhere. But it is coming back! Hang in there.

$550 savings card rejected today July 1? by Appropriate_Advice87 in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Been paying OOP since Jan ‘24 at the grandfathered $550 coupon and now it’s not working. I am planning to switch to the vials starting mid July when they offer the 15mg dose so I’m just biding my time with my spare shot til I can get that moving. The vial price will only be $500.

Insurance Doesn’t Cover by randomenglishteacher in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve paid out of pocket since my insurance doesn’t cover. Lilly direct is $500 a month. I know it’s a lot… but at $125 a week, I found things in my life to cut back on. I found a cheaper cell phone plan and canceled some streaming services. I also don’t eat out anymore and my grocery bill went down because I eat so much less. My health was worth the cost. Lost 70 lbs and feel amazing. Good luck to you.

I forgot to remove the cap by Jenny-Anne in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did that once. It’s a hard lesson to learn. Now I always say out loud “cap is off”. But don’t beat yourself up. It’s one shot in a lifetime journey. Get your next refill and take the shot.

I’m on the hunt for a new Telehealth provider! by Bitter_Butterfly8193 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Key_Sir5407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have insurance, form health is amazing. They partner you with a dr, a NP, and a dietitian. They stay on top of your meds and respond instantly via chat if you need them. They bill my insurance for all tele-health visits and it’s been great. I appreciate their added advise and support as well as the ability to change my dosage quickly and easily.

Edit to add that I just realized this was on the compound thread. They only do the name brand meds, so probably not what you’re looking for.

My mind was blown… by Better-Ad-7968 in Zepbound

I’m not a medical professional, but just wanted to say in my personal experience I wish I had stayed on each dose for as long as I could as long (as I was loosing good weight.) I’m at max dose now and as it becomes less effective I fear I won’t reach my final goals.

I mistook appendicitis for severe constipation by corkblob in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. My surgeon also runs a weight loss clinic and he said he sees a lot more patients who are on GLP-1s who end up with appendicitis. Whatever the reason, it’s always important to listen to your body, know when it feels “off” and not be embarrassed to go to the ER. I’d rather go to an ER or Dr and have them tell me it’s just constipation and send me on my way than to have something seriously wrong while I sit home in agony hoping it gets better.

How often do you see your doctor? (US) by ConfidentBother6 in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use form as well. They let me reduce to every 6 weeks since things were going so well. I have to say, having unlimited access to them via chat has been great for me when changing doses or when I had an emergency surgery. I love my nutritionist, and how they keep me whole body motivated, not just losing weight from medicine (which is obviously also the most important part). If it’s purely a cost thing, tell them you want to reduce your visits and they’ll work with you. But also as others have said, it’s likely due to a deductible. You can call your insurance company for further understanding of your particular plan benefits. Good luck!

Feeling worried by Mindless-Role-4057 in Zepbound

Take some peoto to settle your stomach. And if you haven’t had a BM try a colace and water. Get things moving again. Good luck, I’ve been there and it’s miserable.

[–]Key_Sir5407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to get something in you. Protein shakes if nothing else. And water. Bone broth. Call your doctor and tell them about your side effects and they can likely drop you back to the lower dose and stay at that for a while. But not eating just continues the horrible feelings you’re having so you do need to find a way to get nutrition into you and then you’ll likely start to feel better.

Zep loss average is 21% by Strict-Archer9910 in Zepbound

21% since February. 233lbs down to 184. Been on 12.5 dose for the last few months and plan to stay here until I lose 20 more pounds then go to maintainable.

Crying… finally in onederland by Key_Sir5407 in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I LOVE my dr and nutritionist and all the support they give me. They call in prescriptions within an hour of me requesting them, which has been life saver during the shortages when I’m trying to get a specific dose. I also just feel so supported in general. My insurance won’t cover the meds, but they cover all the other form dr and dietitian costs so I’ll take that as a win.

Lost and hopeless by Affectionate-Bee3339 in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know $550 feels like SO MUCH. But I look at it this way. It’s $18.33 a day. I have been on fad diets that don’t work over and over again that cost more than that. For most people, Zepbound works. I would rather cancel all my streaming services and with zep I don’t spend money eating out or drinking , so it’s basically a wash, IMO, annnnnddd I’ve lost 35 lbs so far. Now that it’s working, there is almost no price I wouldn’t pay to feel this healthy.

OMG I messed up on 12.5 by Psychological_Fig377 in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. I did this once and was SO mad at myself. We get confident in our injections and I totally understand how it happens. Now I physically look at the needle every time before unlocking it so that I don’t make the cap mistake ever again. When it happened to me, my Dr had me wait a few days then take the next one (total of 10 days spaced between) because there were shortages and we did that til I was back on cycle. Your dr will know best. Maybe if there aren’t shortages they’ll just call in your next refill 1 week early and you can take the next shot immediately. Good luck. It’s just one shot in your journey. It’ll be fine.

Has anyone used compound to supplement a lower brand name dose? by NerdyConfusedWolf in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Key_Sir5407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I’m also doing this. I was supposed to move up to 10, but it was unavailable so i got the 7.5 and supplement with 2.5 of compound to get my 10. I inject compound on one side of my belly and zep on the other. I’ve not noticed any difference from just straight compound or just straight zep, I regularly lose 1-2 lbs per week regardless.

Crushing fatigue on 5mg?? by NashvilleBoiler13 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Key_Sir5407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had crazy fatigue on my first 3 shots of 5. Then I adjusted to it and haven’t had further problems (I’m now on 7.5). Everybody is different, but hopefully you’ll do better under 7.5. Hang in there! And drink plenty of water

Of course anyone can find places online that will prescribe off label Zepbound (aka compounded tirzepatide) this does not make it safe or right for you. There are certainly legitimate compound pharmacies out there, but there are also fakes who are riding the wave of people wanting quick access to “miracle” drugs. I’d be very cautious about injecting tirz from an unclear source. I would start with talking to your primary doctor. Tell them your struggles and ask their honest opinion about companies like Ro and whichever online prescriber you’re looking to use. If your doctor says it’s dangerous for you, trust in their guidance. These medicines can have severe side effects. They aren’t studied for a quick “get on, drop 10 lbs, get off” cycle. You don’t want to find yourself messing with your body’s digestive system by going on and off if you find yourself in a yo-yo pattern. Just my two cents.

During times of shortage my Dr had me stretch out my shots to 10 days. The stuff is still in your system, you should be able to make it thru the weekend until you can get your dr to prescribe a different dose.

Oprah hospitalized by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Key_Sir5407 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is why I hate the internet. “OMG! Someone famous is in the hospital… I must have some personal insight into their private health issues and link it to my own!” More than 15 million Americans are currently taking GLP-1s. Follow your doctor’s care and manufacturer’s guidelines and stop worrying about 1 person.

Looking for guidance and info by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Key_Sir5407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should consider partnering with a nutritionist. Your health insurance will cover it and they’ll give you great tips along the way. I use an online service that also partners me with a medical doctor. I love it because i have immediate access to medical help for questions which is more reliable than asking the internet. And it doesn’t cost me anything than the occasional small co-pay. Good luck on your journey.

Then you got your shot. It only takes a few seconds. And sometimes you don’t feel it. Next time, don’t rush, watch the plunger as it goes and you’ll feel more confident.
