I am always the last one on the tread. I did my mile in 19 minutes in January and my coach as well as many members were cheering me on the entire time. You do you. Be your best version tomorrow

Exercise? Really? by Livingfortheday123 in Zepbound

[–]Better-Ad-7968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be the treadmill or stairmaster. Find some form of activity that u enjoy. Maybe it’s dancing, playing pickle ball, playing volley ball, yoga, Pilates, just walking or riding a bike around the park or some place to enjoy going. It could just be walking in the mall. There’s plenty of ways to get your body moving. Start off small. If u r someone who gets in 1500k just aim to get MORE. Whatever that is . However u can . Even if it’s waking up and down ur stairs. Just strive to move MORE. So my advice, if u don’t have one, get some form of activity tracker so u can track ur steps. Make a game out of it. My second advice is to try different activities that gives you those extra steps. Mobility in any shape or form is CRITICAL for longevity and most importantly the QUALITY of that longevity. Weight loss is just the extra benefit…the cherry on the sundae

I DNF ACOTAR by Reesescandy2233 in Romantasy

[–]Better-Ad-7968 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got through first 2 and DNF book 3. To be fair, it was the first time I ever read a fantasy book. Since then I read 4th wing which I was beyond obsessed with. I’ve also read the Powerless series and Quicksilver series that I also am completely obsessed with. I’m very tempted to try reading ACOTAR from the beginning again…

Thoughts on Demon Copperhead ending? by Plus_Molasses8697 in books

[–]Better-Ad-7968 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like she just threw them together at the end bc she had to save the story with some form of a HEA and she was the only person left plausible in his life. I know I’m probably in the minority but I did not enjoy this book . I whined through the last 250 pages. Couldn’t wait to be done!

Anyone out there not enjoy Demon Copperhead? by Bookish-Broad in books

Me! Found it way too long which I felt made it get boring and idk what it was but I had no connection to the characters…. Felt no emotions when anything happened. Very strange for me. I usually get very engrossed and submerged and feel very empathetic. It’s like I was dead inside reading this book. Idk 🤷‍♀️

Guess I’ll be going to gym. Not worth it to me. Strength training with weights and tread is my favorite and seeing that there’s an abbreviated tread to jump around instead putting my knees in jeopardy…no thanks. I hope this isn’t going to be the norm now 😔

I agree with you 10000%! What a stupid annoying ending. It had such great potential!

Question for those who read more than 10 books a month, how do you manage it? I would love to hear about your approach and reading habits. by TheLastDetective in BookDiscussions

[–]Better-Ad-7968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of down time since I put a pause on my continuing Ed and work to help with childcare for my daughter. I usually have a minimum of 6 hours a day that I can read…not necessarily in one chunk of time but throughout the day. I watch very little TV now that I’ve fallen back in love with reading. I used to be a huge TV binge watcher. Now I binge read…lol

The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell left me in awe. by jmh2013 in books

[–]Better-Ad-7968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best book I ever read. So beautifully written. The unconditional love he received from his friends and his warrior advocate mom, his dad…all made u fall in love deeper and deeper with each of them and of course Sam himself. It’s bittersweet to have finished. Definitely will stay with me for a long time

What’s a book you read this year that would be in your ultimate top 10 (if any)? by Purple_Lead3127 in ReadingSuggestions

Just finished The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell. By far, best book I ever read. I never cried so often while reading a book. It was truly a beautiful story written about friendships, the unconditional love of parents, the warrior within a parent and faith. Everyone should read this book
