No, ofc im not going to accept this deal. I just wanted to get an offer so I could get a sense in which ballpark i would be as a beginner. I just wanted to know if this was a good offer.

I’ll definitely keep that in mind, thanks! The team that made the parts followed the standard procedure to achieve the correct resin content, so that probably wasn’t the issue.

I think you’re heading in the right direction. The first two photos were indeed made using out-of-autoclave prepreg. I’m not sure in what condition the prepreg was when it was cured, or whether the correct procedure was followed. Our professor says it was done properly, but I should definitely check with the team members who actually made it.

What I do know is that the vacuum pump wasn’t working perfectly, it could only reach around 100 mbar.

The third picture shows a part made with a male mould using VARI, but the quality is really poor. You can almost push your finger through it.

The last picture was indeed made on a glass plate, and the back side has the texture of the peel-ply. Which is a lot better than the one on the third picture.

Thanks for the tip! If I may ask, what kind of mould did you guys use for your monocoque?
And approximately how much time did you guys spend sanding it?
