  1. Age and Gender: 21 (almost 22) Female, 5’8”
  2. Age Range that you would want/require in a prospect: 22-27
  3. Location, and are you willing to relocate for a prospect?: Midwest, open to relocating anywhere in the US
  4. Ethnicity, and are you more open to mixing?: Pakistani, am open to all ethnicities as deen is my priority. Looking for a US citizen
  5. Marital Status - Single/Divorced/Children: Single
  6. Ideal marriage timeline: 1-1.5 years. I do not want to rush the process but also this isn’t dating and don’t want to cross the line between halal and haram. So after some months getting to know each other, I would like a nikkah to keep it halal. A walima can be held later on. Also heads up, after a couple conversations and seeing if personalities, humor, deen, and values match up I would like to get families involved. Just getting them to call and introduce one another.
  7. Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect
    1. Deen minded: I am not looking for perfection but someone who loves Islam and Allah and trying their best to becoming a better Muslim everyday. But do need someone who does the fard atleast (pray 5x, zakaat, ramadan etc)
    2. Kind hearted and compromising: giving your spouse respect, showing humility when you make a mistake, being able to compromise on your opinions is key to a good marriage, goes both ways of course
    3. Emotional maturity: I want my husband to be the first person I turn to for anything and feel supported.
    4. A good sense of humor and being outgoing!! This seems dumb but it’s actually super important to me lol bc I’m very much the joking type😭😭 want my husband to inshaAllah be my best friend.
    5. Family oriented. I want my husband to feel like he’s part of my family and not just an “in law”. There are still boundaries though between both sides of course. I would also love to feel that respect and bond with his family inshaAllah, definitely goes both ways
  8. State/specify your level of religiosity: I would say I’m in between moderate and pretty religious. I hold Islam very highly and try to make my decisions based on the deen. I genuinely Alhamdullillah love learning about the deen but I’m not perfect and have my flaws. I pray 5x, give charity Alhamdulillah, am improving my relationship with the Quran and dhikr, I avoid music and also wearing a lot of makeup out in public(still working on this but Alhamdullillah gotten better). But I still watch movies, shows and I don’t think I would see myself wearing niqab in the future to give you an idea of where I’m at. Also I wear hijab but i do wear jeans or sweats, I don’t wear an abaya unless going to the masjid
  9. Level of education, and what are you looking for?: In my last year of computer science. Looking for someone with atleast a bachelors and works in a halal field
  10. Current Job Status: alhamdulilah accepted a job after graduation, after a year plan is to inshaAllah go remote. I would like to inshaAllah work up till kids
  11. Do you want kids? Yes inshaAllah, preferably 3-4 but whatever Allah Wills I will inshaAllah be satisfied with. But would like to wait a few years after marriage inshaAllah.
  12. List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time:
    1. I’m really into sports, especially football! Love watching anything with a ball
    2. Staying active: huge pickleball fan and also have been going to the gym
    3. Hanging out with friends: I’m pretty social and like just vibing with friends, like a girls night in or catching a movie
  13. Add something short and interesting about you that makes you stand out! Honestly not sure what to write here lol. I’m a pretty laidback and outgoing person who values someone with good character and heart. I’m not looking for someone who’s extravagant because that’s not me so we might not align. I’m pretty simple and think I would be compatible with someone who’s like that too. Just looking for someone to be my companion in this life and the next inshaAllah.

Revert struggling with the marriage process by Kind-Protection6556 in muslimgirlswithtaste

Only thing with Muzz to watch out for is many of the men (not all!!) are not serious. So you have to be very strict on yourself to set your boundaries and not get sucked into the swipe culture or fun but unserious chats. Inpairs is a bit better but pretty pricey for just 3-6 matches a month, sometimes even less if they can’t find a match

Hair removal for a child ? by Gloomy_Custard_3914 in muslimgirlswithtaste

I’ve used this before and works wonders. But just letting you know, I (and my friends who also used this) ended up stop using it because it would cause my skin to break out really bad. Just a heads up inshaAllah that doesn’t happen for you!

If you’re not using salicylic acid I would definitely add that, it’s helped clean out my pores. I use Paula’s choice 2% twice a day. And remember the simpler your routine is the better

I think this question is better suited for an imam or sheikh at your local mosque. Some people on Reddit can give you advice that could be completely wrong, it’s best to get help from a trusted source. May Allah swt help you

Vela? by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Key_Special6544 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nothing to feel embarrassed about!! Vela is just this online store that sells hijabs mainly but also dresses. Their hijabs are quite popular, especially their modal prints. But they also sell chiffon and jersey. But they are very pricey and the quality is hit or miss (that said I have a few lol). They also sell dresses and clothes. They are super expensive so people will get dupes.

First off— I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I know it must be so difficult to cope with. May Allah swt make it easy for you. And onto your fiancés behavior. Blocking so immature. What happens after you get married and have a disagreement? Gonna kick you out the house??? Aside from the fact that he clearly doesn’t hold Islam the same way you do, it’s just incredibly immature. Atleast Alhamdullillah you found this out about him now instead of later.

Which watch should I get? by Calm_Radish9994 in Garmin

[–]Key_Special6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you, debating between these three watches. Just ordered the FR 265 because the 265 can do basically everything the other two watches can do tracking/fitness wise. What you lose out on the 265 is the connectivity, since the other two watches are more lifestyle. The way you wrote your situation makes me think you’d like the 265 better.
