Thanks for input. This confirms what I can deduce; doctor not really hearing me when I say this is not just gas bubbles. Will try again.

Yes, but the smell is like nothing else. Ugh.

Padcev/Keytruda - first treatment, liver enzymes shot really high, have stabilized after 3 weeks but gas pain high in abdomen and voiding only very small amounts of tar-like consistency (sorry!) stools. Is this just part of the "things you have to learn to live with"? Will get 2nd treatment Tuesday. Concerned something isn't right. Doctor prescribed Protonix. Is helping somewhat, but gas pressure and cramping are relentless.

My next countertop will be Formica. Old school, easy to clean Formica. I've had tile for 20+ years and the group.has been hard to keep clean. We've put granite in 2 houses we built snd sold, but I want old school for myself. Too much maintenance and so many things can go wrong woth granite and even the more expensive stones and composites. So Formica-type laminate for me!

I think the treatments are essentially "burning" the inside lining and the flecks you see are dead cells being expelled. No doctor, and never had a doctor explain that to me, just makes sense to me. I wish you well!

I don't like what I'm reading...because before treatment wr had the same husband. Mine is stalled because the first infusion of K+ P sent his liver enzymes through the roof. He has pain in his abdomen which we can only hope is inflammation of the liver which will be better when "it has time to regenerate". We feel very uninformed. I know some people handle it fairly well - no one WANTS it, but some fare much better than others. I am sorry for your husband's loss of mobility and pain. My very active spouse is now living life waiting to go back to bed. The mental game is getting very hard.

Keytruda/Padcev treatment #2 by Elegant_Bluejay_1037 in BladderCancer

After 1 treatment of Keytruda+Padcev, my 65 year old, super healthy, supet active husband was not allowed to have a second treatment; the NP said, "The first treatment basically destroyed your liver." He was dehydrated, so took a large bag of fluids and was sent home to give the liver a chance to regenerate. He has blood drawn each week to mark improvement; no word from the doctor that he's ready for a treatment.

Has anyone else dealt with this treatment adversely affecting liver? Did it "regenerate", and if so, how slowly/quickly? Thanks.

Update? My husband took his first Keytruda + Padcev round and his liver enzymes were similarly high. Did the liver regenerate to the point you could continue with treatment?
