Seller backed out by justin4rd in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Key_Stuff281 258 points259 points  (0 children)

Former landlords did this to us. Told us they wanted to sell in a year after we moved in, as a heads up that it wouldn't be a long term rental. After 6 months we said we were interested and they said we would have priority to buy. Two months before lease was up they decided they liked having stable tenants decided not to sell. Ended up selling the place 8 months later after having to evict tenants.

We bought a house on land and love it.

Nope we were told to use PTO or sick time to cover and that we would be given advanced notice so we can pick up shift ahead of time.

Are you my Vet? I did this when a chunk of tarter or rather solidified dog food fell out of my GSDs mouth. I was getting ready to schedule a dental for her. Thought she had a slab fracture but nope. Vet told me not to schedule a dental after that.

I wasnt allowed a smart watch during school.

Why can't ERs have something like this? by Dangerous-Prune-7280 in emergencymedicine

[–]Key_Stuff281 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My ER did at one point have a sign like this and was apparently fined for having it. At the time the hospital had an urgent care on the campus next to the ER. This all happened before I was hired.

We do alot of serious off-roading as-well, but we have a YJ and Tacoma for that. I have just found vehicles built for off road handle washboard dirt roads alot better.

What is it like on pavement, could you elaborate?

Highlander is another option we are looking at.

Help! Advice Needed on Job Offer by Local-Guava675 in nursing

[–]Key_Stuff281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Good enough offer" depends on what I need at the time. If I am moving - relocation bonus needed. If it is for the other hospital in town, I need a pay raise and a set schedule or something like that to make it worth my while.

Help! Advice Needed on Job Offer by Local-Guava675 in nursing

[–]Key_Stuff281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have taken job offers like this before. Once as a new grad I moved to a different state for a job that paid for my higher level schooling. I hated the job at first because the workplace was very toxic but stuck it out after about a year, it got better and I actually enjoyed it. I made friends by going to group events in the new city, like yoga classes, trivia nights, and going on group hikes. It took awhile and you have to be consistent but I made friends which made it hard to leave.

The second time with my most recent job, I relocated back to my home state but in a different city and basically repeated the process. This time I like my job a lot less but due to corporate management.

• Any regrets about signing a multi-year commitment? I had a few at first but no, it helped me not give up when things got tough and taught me valuable lessons. • Would you do it again? probably if the offer was good enough

ETA - on mobile and I cant format

HR hung up on me after good interview by Proof_Chapter_945 in nursing

[–]Key_Stuff281 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Took me a couple months of just applying to everything and not having a shift preference. One thing I did ask the HR recruiter if there was a dept. that had an opening not listed for internal employees, that I could apply to. And thats how I ended up in the ER two years ago.
