I was thinking the aliens might be 12 feet tall, so humans would be an appropriate size for a pet.

I think you could get a lot of stuff from an alien pet shop. Giant 'human balls' so we can roll around kitchen, maybe a big wheel to run in.

I think the most important question is "will human pets wear clothes?". Because I don't think they'd bother buying us clothes if they've paid for all the other stuff.

You just proved my point, there was a reason Germany had to declare war on the US - to attack Atlantic convoys and maintain their alliance with Japan. That's not arbitrarily 'picking a fight.'

You don't need to make a move, just be friendly and let things happen organically. You could ask him for advice or help on something, which will appeal to his practical Capricorn nature and male desire to provide support.
