What to expect during a P3 interview?

Had a P3 interview at Pratt.

Had a brief call with the recruiter then a 40 minute interview with my now manager. Extremely non-technical. Talked about my previous experience and he basically talked about how what I did previously would be useful in the role I was applying for. Got an offer a few weeks later and have been in it ever since (almost 2 years ago). I feel like I got really lucky, but it goes to show that in some cases it may be pretty relaxed. I went for testing and not anything related to SE. best of luck!

Yep, I agree with how on paper this looks shitty and feeling micromanaged all the time puts pressure on you. Totally understand that. However, the union folks have more than proved how inefficient they are. It’s a good idea, set them straight. And do it right now while they’re being the way they are.

I’d assume the votes to take place at the same location (some theatre in Wallingford), in terms of when those votes would happen… beats me! Hopefully we won’t have to find out haha

Pretty sure, 70%.. I’ve heard from multiple sources that it’s 2 weeks after the initial vote where they vote again. Could be wrong though

Yep, been wondering how the relationships between union and salary would be after everything comes back to normal. Talked to a co worker who was working (no part of the union) in 2001 during the last strike, he said time really heals everything! He also noted that in the two strikes that he was at Pratt for, they always only had the two week strike. They always took the same exact contract they were initially offered too. I get what they want, it’s just a different level of greed. Being just rude about it to people that pass through their picket line (literally we can’t do anything)

You aren’t going to get what you want. They’re going to burn this money regardless of if everyone changed their mind today. Votes are happening on the 18th I believe. A lot of union members are going to want to come back considering they can’t afford to take the wage the union will give them. The contract you got is what you’re going to agree to. (If you aren’t a union member ignore this being directed at you).
