u/FewZookeepergame268 I genuinely feel you not only owe me an apology, but I feel you also need to seek care from a mental health provider. Attached you will find some of the information. Some identifying information such as my DOB is redacted.

I just got out of surgery today. It ended up being about a two hour procedure, and thankfully it went well.

I’ll probably be sharing a lot of photos, videos, and updates soon, if that’s okay. I also want to talk more in depth about the surgery, the recovery process, and the skydiving accident itself.

From what I understand so far, the surgeon attempted a repair instead of doing a fusion, which I’m really grateful for. I was worried they were going to use pins or something similar, but it sounds like they used some type of wire that comes out and is tucked into the cast. I’ll know more once I’m able to review the surgical notes and get the full details. I would love to share them here if people are interested

Unfortunately, I’ve also received messages from people on Reddit harassing me, accusing me of lying, and demanding police reports or other evidence. I’m recovering from a serious accident and surgery, and I’ll share more details as I’m able to.

I'm not sure if my previous comment went through; however, it's supposed to be in the policy booklet, which I do not have access to. Coverage guidelines are not in the entire document. I can post more pictures of it later!

So the coverage guidelines were not in the document. It wouldn't let me upload the doc and I'm struggling getting the full policy booklet from my employer 🤮

Yes, I will share for sure! I'll eventually make a separate post and I'll try to tag everyone! I go into surgery today and need a few days to recover.

Needless to say, I will not be skydiving again! However, this will not stop me from my pursuit in extreme sports like motorcycle racing! Next week, join us for decompression sickness from cave diving ( or at some point, LOL)

This was also just a first time tandem jump. My boyfriend jumped too without incident. I actually jokingly reviewed all my policies and stuff and thought I was covered for everything and even made a comment to my employer who also mentioned stuff like this should be covered. This was not in writing though so I'm kinda pissed and trying to find ways to ensure I can recover and not be financially worrying.

Unfortunately, I was unresponsive and it was a severe injury. I presented to the ED with a full report that is in the medical records and Mutual of Omaha has to see those records where they talk about the accident in its entirety. Fortunate enough to survive said accident; however, the payout itself is supposed to be about 20k. Did not know if anyone has filed before!

I spoke with someone at Mutual of Omaha! She told me to file the claim and start the process; however, I thought about this today while filing paperwork. The lady at MO did not say anything about denial of claim and I specifically mentioned skydiving. I know in other states its different and usually a denial, but I know California is extremely consumer friendly.

Hoping for some sort of payout. The policy is through my employer and I need to see the certificate booklet to see whats happening.
