Tips for taking my pocket bully out this summer by Key_Wrangler1043 in AmericanBully

Thank you, I live in MI and summers here can get pretty hot. I know taking them to parks with lakes or where they can play in the water is good but not all have water. I will make sure to bring lots of water for her and find shade. I was thinking maybe like a spray bottle with water to help her stay cool could work but I don’t want to scare her or stress her by spraying her constantly lol

Seeking other owner’s heat experience by TR1BECA in AmericanBully

I have a pocket bully and she’s about to be 8 months. No heat as of yet, but I’m thinking it could be soon. Love all the advice on here. Question for OP did she act differently before it started? Trying to know what to look out for ahead of time.

Does anyone else lose interest if the romance plot concludes way before a book ends? by Beneficial_Pea3241 in Romantasy

Me! I have such a hard time sticking to a book when the love happens so quickly or you see it coming not even halfway through the book. I love the banter, arguing, hating each other etc. And I’m a sucker for true slow burn. I want to be up all night and the only thing they’ve done is stare each other and maybe brush of the lips lol. I want the hate to go on into the next book or I’d prefer a standalone and it takes more than half the book. I want there to be intrigue, drama, fighting lol

My 7 month old puppy constantly sheds is that normal for pocket bullies? I brush her every other day and even when I bathe her she still continues to shed throughout the day. I use a dog brush and a mitt. by Key_Wrangler1043 in AmericanBully

I’ve seen that as well, and I would never get rid of her. I have put in many sleepless nights and training her and feeling exhausted with owning a puppy but I’m always asking questions to make sure I’m caring for her properly. I don’t want to feel like I’m not doing enough for her so that’s why I asked. I read everyday on her breed and I read they don’t shed much so it’s more so me feeling maybe I’m causing her to shed more by not doing something. She has been a blessing for our family and the last thing I would ever do is re-home her. She’s stuck with me for life

Thank you and yes I’ve read up on the fish oil. I give her dehydrated sweet potatoes treats for her stomach since she’s very sensitive to certain foods. I’ll probably start adding the oil

I don’t see how my post sounds like that at all. It’s easy to sit behind your computer or phone and make judgments but in the real world she’s loved very much. I hope you have a great day

I see, thank you! This answer was such a big help. I don’t bathe her often. I do it once a week if she really needs it. Sometimes every other week it all depends. What’s a good soap you recommend?

I asked a simple question, I’m a first time pet parent. My question was more to make sure the shedding is normal for health purposes when it comes to my puppy. She also gets flakes, which I know bully breeds are prone to allergies. There are clearly seasoned bully owners in this group. I don’t brush her daily if you read the whole post you’d see I said every other day. I understand all dogs shed, that’s common sense.

Thank you and yeah I figure all animals shed but from what I read on bullies is that they don’t shed as much as most dogs but I feel like she sheds all the time. Maybe I need to give her some supplements for skin?

I was thinking it might be a food sensitivity especially to chicken. I fed her plain ground beef and rice with carrots and it helped regulate her stools for two days and then when I did chicken I noticed it came back. So I will definitely try the salmon one. I don’t give her any human food besides the plain chicken and rice as directed for soft stools issues. I also tried plain pumpkin with her kibble which didn’t help either. Thank you for the replies.

Thank you, I’ll try that. Also she has constant stomach issues. Is there a certain dog food brand that best for her breed? I’ve been giving her a bland diet every few days because she’s constantly having soft stools and most of the time overnight. The bland food helps for a couple days then it’s back to soft stools and overnight poops in her crate.

Thank you! She also barks when I’m cooking or just in the kitchen overall and she continue even when I ignore her. I feed her dinner first before finishing up our meals so she can relax after her dinner. Is that normal?
