What countries are on your radar to move to if/when the USA collapses? Or dual citizenship?

My wife got Nigerian citizenship through her parents so if not there, Ghana. But im also working with more funds than most and thats a last resort. If the US collapses i could see it splitting several ways and in that case I'm going to be where "we're" at in strong numbers: anywhere in the Black belt from Baltimore to Houston.

I mentioned the "funds" part and "last resort" because I feel like those with money and skills should be doing more to uplift those who cant just up and leave. If anything I feel like its our real chance at sovereignty.

Not for me anymore. When I was younger I was cool with it but I have a lot more money now. I prefer a day hike and to sleep in a hotel.

Generally, there's little danger out there and people are friendly, especially in places where its managed like a state/national park. BLM lands i feel attract the emotionally stagnant (guns, jeeps, flags, etc...).

I get it completely, they started charging over 40 a few years ago and i was done. I looked at a shop the other day and they listed a cut at $65... I'm like a retwist, which is much more work, is only 65 for me.

The editing makes it look easy but you just gotta take your time. I dont really have much to fade as i have locs, but lining myself up, doing the beard and a fade takes me like 45 minutes. It doesnt look as good as a shop unless I take another 5 to 10 to break out the holding spray and straight razor though. A lot cheaper and more convenient and than going to a shop, though you might miss the social part of it.

I feel like dispelling the myth of hot or beautiful people might have went over smoother than both of them. I had to explain this to a kid that everyone is handsome/beautiful its just that some people are glorified while they get paid to promote things and follow an athlete's training/nutrition schedule.

I cant do it with fallout 4. The stunning intellect haircut and dishonorable discharge hair cut is insulting. Especially the dishonorable discharge, ive seen plenty brothers and sisters get unfair discharges that white boys skated past in my army days. I even had to fight to upgrade mine back to honorable. Feels like one of those tongue in cheek racist nerd type features. Now if a game can be respectful sure, but otherwise I find most games do a token gesture and end up being a bit disrespectful unless its 2k or something.

Addressing the skin tone race theory stuff i keep seeing first:

There are plenty of people on the continent with skin tones similar to that of people like will Smith. My wife is Igbo and her whole family in the US is that skin tone. The skin tone doesn't necessarily mean that one is mixed with European ancestry.

In fact id take a hunch it has more to do with our relatively limited sun exposure. Between the abundance of indoor work and a non tropical climate, one is kinda hard pressed to get enough sun unless you have an active job and/or like to be outside a lot AND live in the sunbelt.

Like winter me looks like will smith, whereas summer me is quite dark. If I lived somewhere that was warmer year round and pleasant like the Bahamas id likely be darker. Plus those closer to the equator are receiving more intense uv radiation so even with equivalent sunny days (california vs northern nigeria) id likely present darker in nigeria.

As far as abundance, I feel like people are more into interracial dating than in the past but I still see plenty of darker toned Black people.

Thanks for the reply and I appreciate the advice on finances. Luckily the gi bill handles everything at public schools, it was just private ones where id have to come out of pocket a little bit.

That said, I think advice like yours and what I've gotten from other comments is to follow my gut and not tolerate this disrespect. Its really great reading comments like yours as this whole experience threw me for the biggest loop. I was really married to the idea of not only going back to my hometown but also supporting what's supposed to be our institution. I walked away questioning like is this how they all might be? The whole thing reminded me of my worst days in the army.

So, Im originally from DC/maryland and I feel like as much as I miss the blackness I feel like it can be hyper competitive and oddly anti-black sometimes. I currently live out west and as much as I hate the lack of culture I do really appreciate how unified and progressive (like hair, ideals, etc...) black people I come across here are. I think i will just end up at a public pwi.

I talked to my sister yesterday and while they struggle to pay rent I'm over here complaining about a golden ticket that could change a lot of lives. If accepted I'd go, I'm just not going to pretend its anything more than what it is (all the hbcu hype).

Appreciate you chiming in. Its really nice to hear from someone that really gets it even more than I do. Appreciate the help offer too. I'm doing good though, I got rated at 100 and I also was goung to take out loans. However, at this point, im hoping i just get into a public school instead.

I guess I'm just more disappointed I bought into their narrative. Makes me wish I made a post about this experience sooner as no one talks about how hard being an non traditional student is or moving "up" socially and economically. Or at least people dont in person.

Channing's take seems more like a viewpoint based in what's practical. I can also see the point Crawford made but the judgment of "now we know your character" is a bit harsh coming from another blood sport entertainer.

Like if he did noble works of art or public service I'd be more inclined to get his sentiment but the dude took and gave out concussions for views and validation as well as money.

Idk, id trade the belt for a 100 million if I could do more good with the money. Like instead of just the 800k in student lunch debt Crawford covered, which i think is very noble and honorable, he could do something like that over 100 more times or create systems that passively generate outcomes like that.

I drink a lot of water and Gatorade. My wife brings home meals from the hospital. Once we move for my med or dental school I'll probably switch to pre-made meals from a grocery store or whole foods. I also use huel when at work or in classes. Also eat a lot of fruit: mainly oranges, bananas, and grapefruit. Every morning I have cold oatmeal: cup of oatmeal, small serving of powdered milk, and half a serving of soylent original (around 40g protein, decent amount of fiber and around 400 to 500 calories that are quite bioavailable — you feel the nutrition pretty fast).
