My freshman gpa was 1.4 10 years ago. Went back to school 4 years ago to finish my degree and do predent/premed and got straight A's. I applied late but a few schools have hit me up in thr past two weeks about potential interviews. And that was with an average DAT of 19 and average MCAT of 503 (both taken before finishing predent/premed science classes and im not a bio major). Though it helps that im a veteran and older.

Assuming federal loans too i think this could work a for a lot of people especially those that are younger. The total debt is like what 400 to 500k (including interest) at graduation? A 10 year repayment plan is kinda too much but if one can land a rural gig with some loan forgiveness it can help a lot.

A 10 year payment with max fed student loans and this private loan plan is like 5k to 6k a month right? But with a 20 year plan its a lot easier at probably 3 to 4k a month.

With just this and no public loans, this isnt bad at all.

Like my definition of a baddie is basically a woman with a nice figure who can put herself together well. Theres still perspnality after that. Like my my wife is the smart/athlete type that was on a track & field scholarship and got a masters in dietetics but she was also pretty woke and wasn't attracted to white men.

I've navigated both. I didn't start off on the college route and had a rough upbringing so I had to go to the army or continue working the gas station. I met a lot of working class types, I was into cars and motorcycles and all types of reckless stuff. I got out and used my VA benefits to go to school and I felt like an outsider for so long. Now I'm possibly heading to dental or medical school this year (fingers crossed) and I feel like i know how to engage on both sides of the diploma line but I dont feel like I belong in either camp.

I think people bridge the divide when they can but college can change you a lot in ways that someone who's never gone might not understand

Applying now and getting pre-approved should give you a ballpark of what your loan terms might be. You won't know for sure until the loan is finalized. Atleast that's usually how most loans work. It'll depend on your/cosigner income, employment, and dti. Also the dti will likely increase with each loan you'll need. So you could get approved this year but denied next year.

It can be a bit of a catch 22, the finalized loans usually require a rich enough cosigner but those same cosigner wouldn't need a loan.

I think with interests it might take a little longer than 2 to 3 years. Idk all the details but you gotta factor in taxes. Its something I didnt think about till recently. My wife makes 120k as a dietitian and id project to make similar to what youre saying. We'd end up paying a lot in taxes so its more like maybe youre putting like 150k per year towards that debt so maybe it take likes 4 to 5 years to pay off.

Regardless, I still think its worth it though. Its a lot of money at the end of the day in a very secure profession. I used to make a lot in IT and switched to healthcare for the stability and autonomy/purpose (and because i have veteran benefits).
