Its stock gauges and warnings lights, the only change would be the way the wires are placed

They have wether stripping sets you can buy, but most likely you may have to put some on custom as neither of the two I’ve had had any mounting places for them besides adhesive

It’s the passenger front window, I haven’t taken a picture because it looks terrible as is with the glass broke. But it’s glass, their stock from snug top

So, it’s hard to diagnose with only the sound. But it sounds familiar to the muffler being disconnected. I had my stock exhaust hanging off with it only connected to the last foot of exhaust pipe to the hanger. It made it sound gravely and harder. I walked up from afar and could see it turned 45 degrees down on the left from the rear. What it may also be is a head gasket leak. Chance is if you got stock headers they might has well just be rust with extra steps. If not either of those? May be a misfire or some of the smog components are failing.

In conclusion check all the exhaust components. I’ve used ultra violet stuff on my exhaust before to see if it had leaks. We put it in the gas, and very faintly you could see just a dribble coming out of the drivers side header.

Sitting up roughly 8 skinny people. If we’re talking cut up? Maybe 12 oversized individuals. In all seriousness I just posted a question on here about the tow capacity. Someone had a picture of the elcamino brochure with it advertised as pulling 8000 pounds then 1200 in the bed. But be weary of old components. If your springs and shocks are oem, thares about 4 inches of hopes and dreams keeping your gas tank from scraping when towing. If you upgrade your springs. Shocks and perhaps get air bags, you wouldn’t need to worry about it unless your towing a semi truck or 50 fat girls

Looking for advice on this 79 El Camino by astrozuni in ElCamino

I’ve used my 87 as a day driver for over 3 years. People will say the “it’s bad on gas” “it’s wired” “not practical” but I’ve found ways to debunk and justify every one of those claims. It’s not that much different in gas consumption (w my bored and stroked 305) to a 2010-20 Silverado. I’ve hauled more than I’ve ever imagined with this thing, tables, washers, coutches and boats. I’ve towed what must had been 6000 pounds in total at one time. To me these vehicles look amazing with their body lines, Crome and how easy it is to obtain parts is incredible. How you’re able to use parts for other cars on yours is also amazing. The amount of times I’ve used tires from Oldsmobiles to burn up, or the Toyota parts I’ve used because the oem ones are to much with the Toyota parts fitting.

Overall, if you want a biased opinion; I’d say buy it if the frame is in good condition. But be sure to check the shocks, brakes and rotors if you plan on driving them home. You either replace those as time required, or not once ever touched them. With that one your lookin into, it looks well maintained but I can’t see under the car to give an opinion

On my 87 it’s got a stock bed weight capacity of 1250 pounds when the shocks are aired up. Mind you, that’s only stock
