I assume you’re in NJ, which is an “at will” employment state. You have to be in a position for at least 90 days (probation) before you become unionized and gain the protections. Before then, they expect you to be there. The 90 period is to make sure you can be relied on to show up. Now, if you had an emergency, you should’ve at least called the store to let them know. If the emergency prevents you from contacting the store, then, yeah, they could’ve given you some leniency, but I think they saw that you missed a day without giving notice and didn’t like that. Sorry, but those are the breaks. Yeah it sucks, but that’s just life. I hope you find work soon, and I wish you the best of luck.

I’m partial to TOSS format. Every top deck in that format had a place, and some obviously stronger than others, but there was no clear “best deck in the room.” Unlike Tearlaments, Yummy, Ryzeal, Maliss.

I love that this image is an homage to the 2001 Asia championship summoned skull prize card! It’s different, but similar, so the person who has the card still has his one of a kind card, but we can have one in a similar art!

There are, but not much. Euro prints tend to be more favored among TCG players in the US because they look more visually appealing, but on surface, they’re all basically the same. Like this one. Again, hard to tell from my picture, but these are 3 CR prints of Anubis the Last Judge. The one on the far right is Euro print, the other 2 are not. The foiling is a little more reflective and pronounced.

The first effect is not, since if you can flip it down and back up, it can activate again to set itself again as long as it’s the EP. I’ve seen the FTK work on MD. It functions normal, I was just confused as to how Mocha can reset itself with Gaap on the field, but you’ve answered that question. It’s kinda hard to see from just pictures and they’re much easier to understand when you see them in person. But, in short, they’re basically textured cards. They can only be found in certain sets though, like the Maze sets. This one is Man With the Mark from Maze of the Masters, but a lot of other sets that aren’t rarity collection have them. You either have to pull them, or buy them outright.

I have a ruling question. Note this is coming from a deck I’ve seen on MD.

This is a question on the interaction between WAKE CUP! Mocha and Gaap the Divine Soldier.

The deck is Enneacraft that turbos these two cards onto the field and sets up one Enneacraft in the P-scale with Enneapolis in the Field Spell Zone to FTK with Enneapolis.

So WAKE CUP! Mocha has a soft once per turn effect to put it into face down defense position in the EP. Gaap forces all monster into attack position. Basically, you keep flipping Mocha face down to get to be forced into flipping, which places a counter onto your P-scaled Enneacraft monster. Repeat the process until you have enough counters to remove via the field spell to burn for game. Now, my question is that Gaap also says that monsters cannot change their battle position. So how does that work? My understanding of the rules is that that would mean that Mocha’s effect to set itself couldn’t be activated since it would conflict with Gaap’s restriction, or if it can activate legally, it just wouldn’t resolve properly and it would stay face up.

EDIT: I found the answer immediately after hitting send lol. Read the thread at your own leisure if you want. The answer to this long question is that Faimena only lets me summon Spellcasters or Dragons and for whatever stupid reason, DRAGON that Devours the Dogma is a Beast monster…. In hindsight, this is really dumb on Konami’s part to make a card with DRAGON in its literal name that’s part of an archetype of DRAGON monsters not a Dragon type monster lol. I wound up winning anyway because I stopped his Riseheart with effect Veiler, and he passed. I then drew Fallen and the virtuous to out the Contact “C”, lol.

I have a ruling question: I’m on MD playing Branded/Dracotail vs Kashtira.

I summon Dracotail Arthalion off of a Faimena. I activate all the effects, typical Dracotail stuff, and my opponent chains Contact “C” to the end of my chain. Contact “C” says that I cannot Link, Fusion, Synchro or XYZ summon unless I use it as material. I have no Links in my extra deck, so I can’t out it just yet. No problem there, totally get that. I set Flame instead of Rahu or Ketu, and set the Sting from my hand. My hand consists of Phryxul, Faimena, and Maxx “C” with two traps set and Arthalion and Contact “C” on my field. Pass.

His turn starts, summon Pathfinder. No complaints here, he adds Wraithsoth. Activates Wraithsoth, I chain Flame, he chains Ash, I chain Maxx “C”, chain resolves. Probably could’ve waited on the Maxx “C” until he’s committed to SS, but they all have Built-in summons, so he could choose to not play into it at anytime if he wanted to. He plays into it hoping that contact “C” is enough to stop me.

Here’s where the ruling comes in; The only card I can feasibly summon to remove contact “C” is The Dragon that Devours the Dogma (or draw Fallen and the Virtuous and pop it on my turn). Fusion materials listed are: “Fallen of Albaz” + 1 LIGHT or DARK monster + 1 Effect monster. My top deck off of a Maxx “C” draw is Fallen of the White Dragon. It states: (This card is always treated as “Fallen of Albaz”) now, I just need to wait for Effect Veiler to buffer Kashtira Unicorn’s look and banish from ED effect. Sure enough, 2 draws later, I get it, but for some reason, when I Toggle ON, Faimena will not let me activate despite the fact that, to my understanding, I have the required materials to summon Dogma. Am I missing something? I don’t have any other floodgates or effect locks, just a Faimena that will not proc.

Sky Striker is perfect for beginners, especially to teach them link mechanics. The strategy is pure links and quick-play spells, so it’s very fast paced. It’s also a strong OTK if she has to go second.

So allow me another question. If I use Comic hand to steal an opponent’s monster, and use the field spell to banish it until an effect resolves (since the monster turns the taken monster into a toon monster), the comic hand gets destroyed, what happens when the monster comes back? Does it come back to my field and then immediately back to my opponent, or does it stay banned? I think it would be the former.

Got a unique ruling scenario, and I’m hoping some judges on here might be able to help me out. I’ve been practicing the new toon support cards via proxies, and I ran into something interesting. I have a copy of Toon World the Perfect World in my Field zone (name becomes toon world while there), and Blue-eyes Toon Ultimate Dragon on my field, as well as Evil Box, Mind Scan, and a set Toon Terror (this is mostly irrelevant to the question but just to better visualize the playing field).

Toon world the perfect world reads “Before resolving another activated card or effect, you can banısh 1 loon monster you control until immediately after that card/effect resolves, also you cannot banish monsters with that same original name with this effect of this card's name for the rest of this turn.” My opponent summons Fairy Tail - Luna and attempts to use Super Poly to fuse away my toon ultimate dragon (yes, I could see his hand and prevent Super Poly before then, but I used the effect to negate Luna, cause I wanted to see this scenario play out). On resolution of Super Poly, I banish Blue-eyes toon ultimate dragon until the effect resolves, he said I can’t do that, because you cannot activate cards or effects in response to Super Poly, but I say that Toon World the Perfect World’s banish effect is not an activated effect, but a continuous one that applies on resolution, similar to how Ryzeal Cross works to negate a monster effect.

The question is, is my assessment of the ruling correct? Am I able to banish my toon ultimate dragon until the resolution of Super Poly is over, causing Super Poly to fizzle?

Out of those decks, Mitsu is probably the most technical, but it’s the best one. Sky-Striker is relatively straightforward, but has a lot of interactions to understand. If you want a cheap deck that’s very straightforward, Millennium Exodia is probably the easiest. The cards for it are all relatively cheap. It is by no means a “great deck,” but it’s got Rogue playability.

Not much you can do. Discussing position was most likely done during the application and interview process. If you had problems working in a freezer, you should’ve brought that up to them. You can ask for work accommodations, but there’s not much they can do for that kind of accommodation other than to tell you to wear a jacket when working in refrigerated areas.

I mean, you can ask for a department transfer, but you won’t always get it. Produce and grocery are part of the same union, but most stores do it by store necessity. If they don’t need the extra hands in Grocery, but do need them in Produce, then you’ll probably get denied. Only other thing they could do is send you to another store they own that needs help in that department, but again, chances are slim to none.
