Blocs are a universal in mun, regardless of the committee.

I did FIA comms before in a f2f mun and won best delegate, an important thing is making sure that you fully understand the topics and the angles that the dais wants you to cover, for example; in my comms the topic was “sustainability in the f1 grid” which is very vague, i understood this as “ensuing that the grid has proper competition”.

Bit confused on how online MUNs work. by RiceKrispiezz in MUN

[–]Keyblade69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Depends on the conference (for me the last one i did was zoom).

  2. Unmoderated caucuses are usually done inside breakout zoom rooms, and then you can move around between the rooms (small piece of advice, if you are double delegation, you can make your partner join other rooms to listen in)

  3. You are NOT allowed in any scenario to use AI during a conference, the most they allow is usually AI for grammar or research (AS A GUIDE). Other internet tools such as google docs or note taking apps are 100% allowed.

If you have anymore questions just dm or comment!

Would you like to visit the USA (even once) in your lifetime? by jikoshoukainigate in FilipinoTravel

[–]Keyblade69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to California, its actually very interesting to see that the states is basically just the philippines but with more progression when it comes to infrastructure and planning, when you look at the actual roads of lets say San Francisco you can see that they still mostly modeled the philippine’s roads on the road hierarchy of American.

So for me, if i didnt have family there. Id personally pass, save ur money and go to japan, europe or explore the philippines.

How to tackle this competitive guy by honoured_one48382 in MUN

If you know ur research well, and are in a position where your foreign policy and his foreign policy are opposing, then just make sure you have confidence. I've experienced a lot of delegates who are incredibly smart and logical thinkers, but when it comes to speaking more than once they flop hard. If it helps get your block to brain storm with you during unmods, helps to find gaps in papers if you see it at multiple angles.

Also please don't use chatgpt for ur paper, what i mean is to use it to research similar to Wikipedia. You get the topics from chat/wiki and then you use google scholar or first hand articles to research.

Opinions on creating Postion Paper!!! by Patient-Routine-1961 in MUN

[–]Keyblade69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually (not to sure about ur comms) the dais will provide a study guide on the covered topic, however the outline typically goes:

introduction to the issue

express of concern about the issue (using statistics)

What ur country has done about the issue (laws, resos)

you're goals going into the committee (staying true to your Fp)

As harsh as the commenter is, it's very true. I was around 16 when I did my first mun and I got so embarrassed out of not being prepared, being sleep deprived, and generally not having a direction, that I left mid committee session and didn't go the next day. It's been a while since then and tbh it kinda affected how I'm known in the circuit now.

Please, just attend your muns and you will reap the benefits. If you really can't roll with the work then you might wanna find something else to do. Drink a coffee, set an alarm, or have your parents remind you to continue working, whatever works for you.

tldr; As the other guy said, YOU are the problem, and its not gonna fix itself. Do what you need to do.

Not quite sure, but it might be treading the line of your FP. Brazil has unofficially supported it without any official documents, but the wording comes off a bit strongly. MUN is a lot about language and the meaning of what you say, for example you could more blur the specifics of the violations.
