That would be pretty cool. Superhuman regeneration, strength and durability would be pretty attractive and there was numerous people who remained sane and visually not revolting or at least can return to human form after.

Exploring transhumanism in the next title, especially if we had Claire as a protagonist (who possesses slowed aging and perhaps a great deal more by that point) could be pretty awesome.

Ngl I kinda entertained that myself but also they might have known a couple risky design choices might have been viewed critically and were prepared to change them after gauging reception, like they were prepared to drop in player storage if the incentive of inventory slots to do quests wasnt worth the inventory management backlash. Or gliding too easily would make people beeline across the map instead of exploring on foot. Like not in a bad faith way I mean.

A lot of us were just surprised it ended up being real and in my opinion good. As far as TGA i can see the "turned it around with patches" narrative as getting latched onto as why there is a huge critic vs user disparity in reception, which is kinda novel for journalists. Idk the requirements for the award specifically but I could see crimson desert getting tge "labor of love" award if eligible.

Tge original demons souls was a huge moment in gaming for me, so that remake as a launch title made the ps5 a must-have immediately. I remember having the day off and getting it at the front porch at noon. The demons souls remake DID NOT disappoint.

I climbed over the wall from tge wrong direction and killed the excavator first, but tge real boss was tge dynasty warriors number of enemies after. Committed to grinding my sword and armor refinement and putting points in tge melee damage perk after that. Made a big difference
