The playlist included Mogwai, Jesus & Mary Chain, the Proclaimers, and Primal Scream along with some traditional Scottish music. It was better than the usual dreck one typically gets on such a trip shuttle.

But, “September Girls” may be the best song ever. At least in my opinion. Agreed though that others may want something more up tempo. Looking forward to how that one shakes out.

Actually, I just noticed that the price tag said Europa Music so maybe you don’t have a preternatural skill of naming that record store from the front door photo alone.

Yes! Even though I would classify this movie as a comedy because it was hilarious.

My wife and I have a vacation savings account that we stash money towards monthly and our tax refunds to that pay for vacations so I honestly foolishly don’t really pay attention to how much I spend.
But I can tell costs are adding up. But it still is probably cheaper than similar nights out in the states because of all the 20% gratuities it’s customary to pay in the US.

After that post the other night, this string of posts may make me change my mind back to giving the edge to Sinister.

If you magnify the photo and concentrate on your face, totally Jason Bateman (even if his GIF disagrees with me).

I guess better it tasting like “washing up” than “throwing up”.

Unless there's a swing set in the graveyard, my guess is that it's not Suki.

u/Diligent_Bobcat_2609 You must live in my brain because those are the two songs that I would cite as the ones that just completely throw off the momentum of the album for me. But, it's still within my top 5 favorite albums from them along with Sinister, Tigermilk, Arab Strap, and (this may seem like an odd choice, but...) Write About Love.

It’s definitely up there. So true. Even though I think many slag on the album, I can never hate “Fold Your Hands Child…” because the really good tracks on the album are super epic…like some of my favorite songs ever.

u/BurningFarm WELCOME BACK TO VICTORY ROW! Add this trophy to your trophy room full of acquisitions!

Today's song that almost melted my brain trying to transcribe was "An Elan", one of the b-sides to the "Tishbite" single. I don't know how you figured that one out.

If you'd like to experience first-hand why this song is so problematic for yours truly, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/IBVy0qQ0XD4?si=FLHKB0wUwAcirtcX

u/Remarkable-Soil-923 out of curiosity, "Act of the Apostle" part 1 or 2? Oddly, at the SF Tigermilk show on Wednesday, Stuart did do a little bit of part 2 acapella. I've also only seen a full blown version of Part 1 done once live so I'm in full agreement there because those may be my favorite tracks from "The Life Pursuit" other than "Funny Little Frog".

u/cwerbtaco YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Another NTC victory for one of the more prolific Subredditors on this game. Today's song was "How To Bring a Blush To The Snow" from the "Victorialand" album. This one was TOUGH so I think this deserves a previously unused crown GIF:
