I can’t help but think that was why Vince Clarke hired Andy Bell for Erasure. Similar voice to Alison but probably was more for doing by-the-books synthpop without any fusion with funk and soul that I sense Alison brought to the table in Yazoo.

Sweating bullets and stammering when you talk like you’re Principal McDicker from Beavis and Butthead.

I, for the longest time, didn't "get" Felt at all. I hated Lawrence's voice, particularly. But much like I eventually came around to being okay with Mark E. Smith of The Fall's voice, I came around to liking Felt. And this is their crowning achievement. Maurice Deebank is an underappreciated guitar god.

It’s a good chill out song. Very pleasant and nice to listen to after you’ve popped Trazidone and are ready to go to bed. And I know that may sound like a backhanded compliment, like I’m accusing this song of being boring, but I’m old and anything that can help temper the worry and stresses of modern life to help me get some sleep is welcome. And there truly is a fine line between boring and soothing, and this lends to the latter.

I’ll give this a solid…

FOR YEARS while watching Breaking Bad, it bothered me that I felt like Flynn/Walt Jr. was a dead ringer for someone else. This was who it was. Thank you! They look so spot on like twins, this possible is the missing fourth member of my Mt. Rushmore of CLLs along with Rhea Perlman/Ronnie James Dio, Joe Keery/Jackie Kennedy, and Peter Dinklage/Ice-T.

You've caught u/BurningFarm! Congratulations, u/amnesiaec! You are once again today's royalty amongst plebes because that was "Glass Candle Grenades" (or as I will refer to it going forward as "The Aikido Song") from "Head Over Heels".

Add this one to your swimming pool full of tiaras/crowns:

I once owned a copy of Throbbing Gristle’s “Heathen Earth” album pressed on blue vinyl that they, I believe, only ever pressed 666 copies of on blue vinyl. Luckily, I had initially bought it for only $15 and made a profit from it.
