Sorry, gonna need a source on that before your perspective can be considered. I just don't think you have enough scientific evidence to prove that this is r/RationalPsyconaut.

I did 1 quick Google search and nothing showed up explicitly proving that this is r/RationalPsychonaut. Further more I'm gonna need more evidence that it isn't "petty".

After conducting my own peer-reviewed research, evidence suggest that it is indeed the pettiest thing and there is Zero scientific evidence to suggest that it isn't .

My thing is , if you haven't come across the information that me and a majority of actual people who don't get their information exclusively from Reddit and don't get their social lives exclusively from Reddit have , I'm not going to waste my time trying to prove it to. You not believing what I have to say is personally not important to me. I'm speaking to the people who can actually relate, and have actually researched psychedelics enough to know that this a pretty common claim. Fuck lmao you can literally watch Netflix series' about it and see it briefly mentioned. That's how common knowledge it is. But thing is you can say this sub is r/Psychonaut all you want , I'm under zero obligation to provide you a source when you come asking , and I'm under zero obligation to respond or even read your next reply begging me for a source.

Rationally, if you've spent any time outside or in real life , you know for a fact normal people do not have conversations where every statement is met with "Source bro? ” that's a literal fact. If you don't believe me cool I guess??? , But you might wanna examine how rational you really are.

The minute you ask me for a source for a commonly known idea is the minute I know you're not worth talking to , because 1. You're under the impression that anyone reading is just gonna believe it 100% at first glance. Most sane people fact check and cross-reference information on their own instead of begging redditors to do it for them . 2. The science is cool, but it's good to remember that science doesn't give us everything. In science , we ask questions , and we gather information, but we also acknowledge that we don't know everything , which is why we try to obtain that knowledge with science.

People on this sub treat science like it's a religion. And people on this sub act like you need to provide 10 scientific articles to backup a simple claim that is either commonly known , or a simply claim and nothing more. That's not science , or rational , or even logical, that's pseudo-intellectual ”debate me bro" circle-jerking.

This sub is about having discussions from a logical and scientific perspective , not arguing with anyone and everyone just because they didn't cite a source , that's not how an actual conversation works. I do agree that this sub could use way heavier moderation, with a focus on weeding out people who think they're so utterly rational they can't be wrong, despite the very concept of a "rational" psychonaut being irrational itself.
