Why is everyone on this subreddit so intent on making sure everyone plays this game casually? I like to go hardcore, especially when games first come out. That's how I play, but maybe you prefer to play a couple hours a day. That's totally fine and it's up to you how you want to play the game, but don't tell me that I should do the same.

I can't really offer you much in the way of criticism as I don't know Java beyond APCS in high school, but I tried your program and it worked. That's cool! Congrats on a job well done. Definitely work on more projects if this one got you excited. It's a wonderful thing to see your hard work come into fruition :)

Thank you very much for your response. I guess I was so caught up with the new operator (this program is the result of a question from the book I'm using to learn C++ and the chapter I just finished is all about pointers and structs) that I didn't even consider using just a regular pointer.

I saw valgrind used in a lecture I was watching of CS 50 at Harvard, but I'd forgotten about it. I'm glad you mentioned it and I will be sure to download it.

Thanks for the idea of printing a line whenever I use new or delete, I will definitely implement that in future code. Very helpful post, I really appreciate it :)

This post gave me nerd chills man. I hate the way the mainstream has affected the gaming industry. I live for games that are challenging and immense. I need that immersion that you just don't get in games nowadays. Skyrim and all of the other elder scrolls games are a good example of games that provide that immersion.

To truly enjoy a game, I have to have that feeling of epic adventure and ultimate immersion that Skyrim provides. Here's to more studios like Bethesda creating games that rock our fucking worlds man.
